Trouble is a good boy. He's always been on the leaner side but its always made me think he's fragile or something.
Taterhead is really Captain but I never call him that. He's so beautiful but he just plain doesn't like me. I know he needs to go. I just hate that outcome. I need to come to terms with it though. It really isn't healthy for any of them. I doubt Taterhead is not happy not being top rooster. After he lost that status is when his problems started. I'm sure Trouble would prefer not to have to keep a constant eye on Taterhead.... the whole dynamic of the 2 of them must cause stress for everyone.
It's so hard to rehome boys! I don't think I could pay someone to take them let alone get paid for them.
I know what you mean. I have my boys listed for $15 each.. though if someone offered me less I'd take it. Hell, if they asked for free I'd probably say ok. Meyers sells a male chick for $15, so you'd think of how I put in the expense of feeding it for 3 months, plus what I paid for it, it's a steal! If only someone wanted them...

77 gram egg from Hobo! She must be happy about the one rooster situation. That is a Marlene sized egg out of a teeny Hobo butt....no wonder she was just randomly doing her egg song this morning sheeze.:thView attachment 1513436
I'd be singing about that egg all day too.

Anyone use this site for selling chickens... https://www.poultryshowcentral.com/

Well i'm going to let the little hens out of the run tomorrow, they've decimated what little grass I had going on and Beavis needs a posse of birds closer to her age. Iv'e watched her today and she's trying to keep with the adults but she's still really scatterbrained and gets left behind. She was running with the bitty roosters but ya'll know where that was going lol! Got freaked the tater out the neighbor lady's shitz zu Lacey was in the coop eating poops. I thought she was a freaky possum until I saw her face. She got under my gate, dh didn't put the log back under the gap. I did not tell them she was being a dog, they freak when she eats typical gourmet dog treats. Luckily they aren't doggie kissers.:sick

The only time my ACD really ignores me is when she's eating poop. In the winter when I have to bring my chicken shoes in the house I catch her cleaning them regularly. :sick
Caught her eating not sure what kind of poop from the yard the other day. I'm calling her and she's in a poop coma. Walked right up to her yelling and she was oblivious. :sick:sick:sick

Yuck! I don't know why they do that! Old girl did eat an impressive amount for her size though so she saved me some scooping. I feel a little bad, I just shoved her back under the gate and put the log back like she was never here. :caf

A cecal poop really puts my old dog in the zone.

Hey, im proud of you for not shooting the neighbors dog!

And I would’ve just whistled a happy tune and sent it on its way too!
