Well—I culled him. I went to check for eggs and he was panting and stumbling around. He’d get all upset and flail then fall over and close his eyes.

Thank You All! I'm an admitted big softie and hate to cull. But when I saw him I knew it was the right thing to do. If I would have had a nice home for him to go to where he would have lived out his days that was one thing. But to make him struggle to get to better only to end his life later on just didn't seem right.

My vet came out today to do a general wellness check and I spoke to him about your fella he said it sounded like listeriosis to him just going by what I could tell him. So if anyone else goes down you've got a direction to look at least.

He said it comes in on wild birds so there isn't much you can do except keep an eye open. I remember you had that dove in your netting and that girl with the funky mouth spot. Doves bring in a lot of funk even though they're pretty.

Stripped paper for 3 hours today! Got good enough that I could pull it from the top down and get it off in almost a whole sheet. For some reason they were heavy on the glue at the bottom.
My sanity! Bought a house. Had a building planned to use a coop. In way worse shape then expected. As in missing half the roof bad shape.
I was looking for the best most cost effective way to have a coop asap.
Have 2 windows and a shell at this point.

Think that about sums it up...

A roof for a coop depends on the size can be inexpensive if done with certain materials

You have to give him drops of vitamins with B in it--high in thiamine and niacin. A couple of drops a day.

Nutridrench ore poly vi sol without iron baby drpos.

He might have a brain injury too. That will get better over time. Chickens are one of the few animals that can regrow brain cells

I know. They are gross and as a cleaning lady I HATE SHOWER DOORS! Even if the glass is clean the track is nasty. They are hard to clean and harder to keep clean.



Interesting— not sure they would hold up to snow load. Besides they are already “frosted” with hard water. Not much light getting through.

The shower doors are going to be temp glass and will hold up to a pretty good load you can try a dirt test and see if they will hold weight
