RIP 1975-2022
@apryl29, He isn't too bad it was 200 for the whole flock and that includes labwork. He is hard to pin down though, I have to snag him a couple months in advance even though he's family.

Panty plums?I inherited him. He is my step-grandpa's youngest son. He use to work at Hollywild but the monkey house burnt down and he quit so now he does exotic animal husbandry calls.
It has been awhile since iv'e seen a squab....wow. They do look like panty plums, no way around it.![]()
Must be expensive! My dad would say he was against puppies and babies if it would get him out of jury duty. He even claimed to be raceist against white people once...they still chose him.
He comes from Asheville so he makes maybe an hour drive. I think his range is 4 states, N.C, S.C, V.A, and W.V.![]()
A new hat for @drumstick divaLook what I found
You will have lots of Lasagna!Hi peeps!
I've been MIA because I've been BUSY and when I wasn't busy I was binge watching Paternity Court on YouTube. I know it is a stupid show but I like laughing at the stupid people (I really just feel sorry for the kids though). Here's a couple hints about what my mom and I've been up to the last few days.

After eating this lovely tomato sauce we made for the last two nights, we were able to can 16 quarts of it and have a quart with meat and 4/5th of a quart that was just not full enough to can, left over.
I'll tell you what, freezing the tomatoes ahead of time saved use a LOT of work. All you needed was to dump the tomatoes in a sink of hot water for a few minutes and the skins came right off. This saved a lot of time when we were running the tomatoes through the food mill because the skins weren't gumming up the works, the few skins that slipped past, were annoying, but easily dealt with.
We will probably have to can this much sauce again later in the season because our plants are still producing, but we had to start a batch because our freezers were full to bursting with frozen tomatoes.
We can't take jury duty pay here. The University pays us our regular wage when on jury dutyStacey,
Jury duty doesn't pay at all. Many people really cannot lose a week or more of pay. I get it.
I sat on a jury selection for a very serious case a few years ago. The judge said it was expected to be a long trial. Many of the jurors were single parents and would have suffered financial hardship if chosen.
I ended up in the back up jury group.
I've only made lasagna a few times in my life. I guess I should try again.
