Cap what did you get/ get rid of at the swap??
Purchased: Two dog crates, pair of Tolbunt Polish chickens. A big metal pot and a Gilmanor tshirt.
Sold, 4 dozen quail eggs, 3 male rabbits, one Jake turkey, all my male guineas, all my juvenile guineas i am not keeping, a pair of quail.

Traded: 32 quail, mostly hens for 4 mini rex rabbits, 3 out of 4 are does. Unknown if they are pregnant, the guy is Hispanic and not very easy to understand. But i needed to unload some quail. Doe rabbits sell pretty well.

You might have to make those girls some shoes. Beavis has soft feet they feel more like hands, it is really odd. I see much bumblefoot in her future.:caf
It’s not MY feet I care about as much as my chickies.
Rosie and Ashley both have bumblefoot again already!

that are pretty in the fall. But other than that I hate them.

I don’t know how Cappy does it! Parts of my body I didn’t know I had hurt.:th

Questions:
Is the metal roofing hard to cut? What do you use? I thought it came in 6’ lengths but I’m only finding it in 8’.

Also, what do you guys do with your dog poop? At the old house it was impossible to pick up. We had dogs and the landlords dogs would come over. Other dogs would be over. Poop everywhere.
I’m trying to pick it up when they go but I was retching this morning. I have a bucket going to put it in but my god the smell!
Don't know how i do what? Yes, metal roofing is difficult to cut. You can use a cutting wheel, or tin snips. Leaves very sharp edges. Best to leave overhang if you can as stated earlier.
I curse! :barnie:barnie:barnie
I spit-spit-SPIT- PA-TOOHEY
:he:he:he:he:he
on whomever planted all those dang “gum ball” trees in my back two neighbor’s yards.

As you know my Welsummers have very tender feet and are terribly prone to bumblefoot, and I’ve struggled with it all summer.
This morning I’ve been clearing their free range enclosure from hurricane debris.
So far I’ve gathered a wheelbarrow full of pine cones, and THREE five gallon buckets of #+%+%*}^{ :ducGUM BALLS! :tongue

I have a poop hound. It's a rake with the separate thing to hold a bag. Works great except for that change the bag part. Thought about a composter thing but it's best to put it far far away. Not where I want to carry poop to. My sister picks up with bags each time but then has a pile of poop filled bags laying around.
I may have to do some trial and error to see what works best.

Metal roofing comes in 8' so 2' would hang over. I'm worried snow load would just bend it or pop screws.

Not there yet. Off to do coop work!
I used to bury a lot of poop or scoop it and bag it, but here the dogs mostly poop in the woods, so unless its on a path i don't worry.

Forgot to mention this happened!

Yeah, that's the old septic tank that was supposed to be emptied then crushed and buried. It sunk...they brought dirt...in sunk again.
Smells lovely.
A septic tank service should have been used to empty the tank.

Someone did not do that correctly at all!

What is a gum ball tree?
The technical name is american sweet gum tree.
They are big (50 ft) and quite showy in the fall. And they make millions of these dang “pokey balls” that take about 4 years for one to decompose.
They hurt like a booger when you step on them.
I’ve also rolled my ankle a few times on them under leaves.

Cant believe people are selling them on eBay for crafts.

Just shows you, there’s a buyer for almost everything!
