It is weird that you have to have a vet referral. Have you contacted them directly?

Here I can drop of two a day for $20.00 bucks

I do have one bit of happy news on this dreary day. I got my first ever blue egg! The picture doesn’t do it justice. It is really a very pretty pale blue. Way to go Peep!

Thank you Suzi! I have been laid up all day with muscle spasms. This really turned my whole day around though

That makes me sad!

I hadn't but someone else I know had not that long ago. I sent a txt to double check that that was the answer she got. I remember because she was frustrated and argued it with them
"I can't take a dead bird to the vet". They said she should have taken it before it died. View attachment 1561469

Here I can take a sick bird in for euthanasia and necropsy. No vet referral required.

We might be in a different program because we are a border state with Mexico

It makes me sad too! The state lab is close by too, but their website specifies that referels are required fo any sort of testing

ETA it seems like necropsy rules are like NPIP rules, in that every state is different.
