A little more digging and it doesn’t seem Rural King vaccinates. As torn as I am about the whole situation I think it’s one of those things that happens. If it is Mareks it could have come from anywhere. Sadly I think the jump to vaccinate or cull is making the problem worse. If they can survive with it then their offspring would be more resistant. Culling and starting over is just that, starting over. You could get all new birds and end up with Mareks again. At least those that survive the outbreak are less likely to fall ill again.
I’m glad it’s not passed to the eggs. Maybe birds can’t leave the property as a precaution but eggs still can.

Five or so years ago I had a hen die of Mareks cancer, verified by necropsy. The advice from them was very dire--Mareks at my place, all chickens must be vaccinated and etc.

I ignored it and have not had a problem. I have never had primary mareks here only mareks cancer

@FlyingNunFarm

Just throwing out some fyi’s

There are live animal mareks test available.

http://www.vetdna.com/test-type/avian-bird

This one does serologic, OR feather OR sterile skin swab.
All the info is on the site.
Click on the picture of the birds to get to the avian section

You can read the submittal form.
No vet referral needed.

Also the vet school at UGA@Athens also does testing.
You don’t have to be a Georgia resident to submit to them.

Oh just so ya'll know, the skunks don't give a flying flip about my pee. If anything it made it worse.:gig
I have read a lot of posts about trapping skunks.

You have to be careful with moving or "disposing" of them though
