they are supposed to lay lightly tinted eggs--a light brown color

I was wrong!! The lakenvelders DO come in golden!!

Much more affordable too.

I'm supposed to have 2 pink layers. Not sure either one really does. My original mixed breed girl of unknown parenting was giving me pink eggs. But I didn't get one last year. So either she quit with the pink or didn't lay eggs. (In my flock either is possible) New girl that I got with the bantams was supposed to lay pink but it looks white to me. I currently don't have a white egg to compare it too.
I'm just glad when I get eggs. LOL
