She's pretty gnarly when everything is perfectly fine, at least she has an excuse now. Giving everybody protein out the wazoo to try and get the process over with as quickly as possible. She's the last really bad one everybody else is pretty set. Lulu is sprouting underfluff and Marlene has to finish growing her tail obviously Hobo still has some time left.

I have one that is nearly back to full fluff! She was fairly feisty too

Nunny I was planning on sharing...they had other plans. It was like when you see somebody get mobbed by pidgeons or seagulls but so much worse! Iv'e got scratches and dirt or maybe poop I don't even know pretty much from my wrists to my shoulders. I got mauled over seeds!

I've decided that the tradition of making xmas cookies was actually started as a way to heat up homes w/o 'wasting' the heat... so you made cookies/ biscuits/ cakes that lasted a long time (fruitcake) and the baking would warm the house in the cold nights.

I set mine a couple minutes short of what the recipe calls for so I can head off any overly tanned.

I'm thrilled with my new range and only aggravated that it's not level...

I'm going to stop selling for the winter, unless I get an odd surge where I get a bunch. Their molts are taking forever & my 4 production birds are laying while trying to molt so I'm expecting them to stop laying here soon do focus on that. No egger eggs since Sept, probably.. people can buy from a store.. it won't kill them.

I tell all my customers that when the girls need a break, they'll take one.

@staceyj Did you know sitting outside eating sunflower seeds in a clear bag is not the smartest thing to do around chickens? I'm telling you now it really is not!

*Sigh* going to get a storytime when hubs gets home. His mom has not been upfront about the condition of her rental property. Asked hubs to mow the lawn, he went grass is waist deep. There is trash everywhere, poops all through the house. She said she's evicting these renters because they don't pay on time i'm thinking she left out some other details.
