I feel bad for him. He is a manager and works tons of hours. No overtime pay of course.Don’t hide some people still consider that pizza![]()
I haven’t checked in years. However, I don’t trust the average pizza chain to minimize cross contamination. Most pizza places have a buffet style sauce and toppings setup and they use the sauce spoon to spread the sauce over the pizza. Even if, and I doubt they even do this, they have a separate sauce vat for gluten-free pizza it is very easy to mix things up and use the gluten-free spoon on a gluten pizza and transfer particles back to the sauce, or to have the flour you dusted your hands with to fall onto the toppings as you reach for different things. To do gluten-free pizza right, they really need a gluten-free station and conscientious workers that carefully wash their hands and don’t get their clothes messy with glutenous flour. This is an almost impossible task and not economically viable for most pizza chains to do. For someone like me, even minor cross contamination is too much.Do they not have a gluten free dough option now? The ones here do.
Nearest one to us is almost an hour away. Not that i know of. Papa Johns is 45 minutes one way.![]()
Your choices soundMmm pizza! I love Papa John's! It's been a long time since we've gotten any. Our go to is pepperoni, sausage, and mushrooms. Our nearest Papa John's is about 40 minutes away so we try to plan to get some when we're in the area. If we're not positive we want pizza, we get Fox's.... The steak wedgie is AMAZING! Then of course, there's the Italian Oven for chicken Alfredo lol
You guys are really making me want some Italian right now! I have to be careful though the next few days anyway. I got food poisoning Sunday night/Monday so my body still needs easily digestible stuff for a few days. I have no clue where it came from but that was a really rough day :/ I'll be baking cookies today for a church cookie exchange this weekend and it's going to be so hard not to pick at all the dough taste test everything.
I went and tried to order a pizza to see if the nearest Papa John’s had a gluten-free option. They do, but this is the warning I got when I selected the gluten-free crust.

I’m glad they are now warning about potential cross contamination. Most places used to not admit that it was a problem. Even still, I am half considering trying it next time I’m in that area, cross contamination or not. The reactions I get from cross contamination aren’t as bad as when I eat something full of gluten. I need to wait a while before trying it though. I got mildly glutened over Thanksgiving and eating something cross contaminated now would be adding insult to injury.
Thank you , they're purty rotten.Morning everyone

If I'm willing to drive 8 hours, I can get a really good pizza and an Italian beef sandwich to go with it.
