Official Squatch Watchers

Well I am nuts. It's official.

I drove 200 miles out and brought back an 8 week old black and tan coon hound.

Her name is Tilly. We got vet papers with her. So far the other dogs have sniffed her til the new dog smell is gone but exactly zero aggression.

Nothing will make me stop missing my old guy. I still have room to love Tilly though.

I am so HAPPYYYYYYYYYYYY FOR YOU!!!!!!! :wee
Can’t wait to see some baby pictures of Tilly!! :fl

Love the name!
:love

My mom had a theory that babies bring their love with them.
I think puppies do the same thing! :celebrate

Cappy, sounds like a snowblower is in order, preferably one that has walk behind instead of push. That way he doesn't have to deal with pushing it up hill. The other option is a plow attachment for a riding lawnmower.

For the super pooper chickens, I've noticed that broody or not, if they don't move around for a while, they deposit larger than normal poops.

For everyone, stay safe, keep warm, spend the holidays however you choose, know that you're loved by the rest of us Squatchers, and be the best person you can with the knowledge that we won't ask you to be any more than that.

:hugs:hugs:hugs:hugs:hugs:love:love:love:love:love

Must have puppy pics!!!

We had about 2 feet of snow! Hubby has been out there killing himself shoveling it. Our driveway is about 350-400 feet long, and he shoveled a path to Turkey Town and another up to the barn.

Holy Moly! That's a lot of shoveling!
I vote snow plow. Of course hot cocoa and soup to warm up with too.

I would agree they bring their love with them.
Lots for her to adjust to and the other dogs as well.
So far so good.
Sable is definitely obeying the back up command.
:yesss:

Henny, congrats on Tilly! :wee:wee:wee:celebrate:celebrate:celebrate:woot:woot:woot:woot:jumpy:jumpy:bun:bun:highfive:

Thanks! She is a cutie pie. :love

Yes pics tomorrow when noses aren't literally up her butt.
:gig

She's a brave girl. She's been on the floor with three giant strangers looming over her and didn't tuck tail, cower or whine at all.
She DID find the adult dog food WAY to quickly. She had already eaten so I will be watching that closely. I don't want her pigging out and getting sick.

One last thing before I go to bed.

@Redhead Rae , I don’t know how to do the spoiler thingy so skip this post. Please.
Just move along.
It’s gonna be gross.

At today’s visit to Walmart -where I don’t personally purchase meat, they had these “chickens paws” again.
Seriously. If they call them that, which is disgusting enough all by itself, I would assume that this meat product MUST come in from some other country.........

BUT NO!

The label clearly states that they are HATCHED, RAISED, and HARVESTED in the USA
and
That they’ve been inspected by the USDA for “wholesomeness”,
Yet ,
30% of these chicken feet are clearly infected!

Wouldn’t a USDA inspector know what BUMBLE FOOT looks like, and that it’s a STAPH infection!?!?

And HOW can that possibly be safe for people to eat?

We do have a snow thrower, but this was heavy , wet snow and that thrower only does the light fluffy stuff.
