Do we want to know how long you've been milking those potatoes?
Just made them yesterday, he did not put them back in the fridge last night so it was his fault they went south. I can't take credit for this one. ;)

I will never quite understand why some men cannot just simply toss a food item if its old.
I wish I had a nickel for every time I have had to say "move the milk".
I would like to know what is the point of telling us? We can't do anything about it , i'm pretty talented but I do have my limits.:lau
My hubby knows that all the leftovers go in the slop bucket for the birds so no issues there.
We don't have a bucket, hubs is the bucket here. The chickens get leftovers if I can sneak them past the bucket.:p

Well, my year is starting with calcium deposits in the tendon of my rotator cuff, which has caused some tendonitis, additional tendonitis in the same muscle, and a tear in said muscle. How did this happen, you ask....

Sleeping on a mattress that is a skeleton of what it once was. Why do we still have it? Cuz tattering DH would rather ignore the fact that we need a new mattress and spend the money on stuff her wants, like more guns.

Anyhow, ER gave me an Rx for tramadol, it was a waste of $ 0.85, doesn't do a thing for me. The sling does more, but basically it's like someone is digging a knife in to my shoulder, and then I get the dull pain and numbness down my arm, etc. So now I'm stuck sleeping in DD#1's room because it hurts to much to sleep anywhere else, and even then, it's not a full night's sleep. It's still better than getting maybe 20 mins at a time in my room. And I do have an appt next week Friday for my regular Dr, the soonest they had available.

How's everyone else's New year starting out?
Do you know what your blood calcium level is?

Not sure about what's gonna happen other than time and physical therapy. I messaged my Dr and asked for imaging to show location and extent of soft tissue damage, and for better pain meds. I think I have damage to my deltoid, since I can't lift my arm up to the side. I'll keep y'all updated. As far as DH, one of the DDs told me he was talking about getting a couple twin mattress instead of a kind. Suits me fine, I'm totally fine with no hanky panky for the rest of my life . But we'll see what happens.

No idea of what my calcium level is, but I suspect seeing the spring coils in a pillow top mattress right where that shoulder rests is the culprit more than anything else.

You can put 2 twin mattresses together and make a king. That might be what he means. Works well if you like 2 different mattress types, or if cost is an issue.

I'm conflicted. I don't know if I should be angry, embarassed , or just plain tatering amused. Hubs came home and took me to lunch at the monterey which is a pretty good mexican restaurant , very nice.
I order my food which i'll freely admit was a lot... but I eat, nobody takes me out to eat for a reason.
Anyway, I order and waiter guy just walks away, does not ask hubs what he wants.
So I have to flag him down and tell him his job is only half done.
I'll be hiding under a rock if anyone needs me. :gig

It's probably more b/c you're not a big lady than holy wow you eat enough for 2 people. Plus, some of that stuff goes right through you!

Please choose to be amused.
There were 2 people there, a good waiter asks if that's everything before trotting away.

My hubs work takes everyone and their spouses to a buffet lunch to end the year.
Now then, I am a good eater but not one to overdo it.
When I came back to the table the bosses wife glanced at my plate and said "Oh wow!" .
Um seriously there was 90% veggies on my plate and like 2.5 cups of food total.
I was very embarrassed.
It's not like it was a pay for every item kind of lunch and I went top of the price range. It was a freaking buffet.
Now then to be fair she IS a very tiny 70+ year old lady so eats very very little.

Side note.......a year ago I was 70# heavier. I make much healthier food choices these days. I quit sugary drinks and I am very active with the dogs.
Yes I still think of myself as "heavy" but whatever.

Way to often we tend to let other people determine how we feel about ourselves.

It is pretty funny now that iv'e gotten over the initial whuuut??? of it all.
Did not help I caught him looking at me like I was a zoo animal though, not staring but he'd stroll through and glance.
To be fair, I get it. It was a lot, more than hubs than a long shot, but I eat
small or not.
Cherry on top was the auidible WHOA when he took the plates....come on guy I know your're impressed but have some tact.
Just got to laugh about it. :)
