Official Squatch Watchers

I'm hoping it is! She's my last baby, once she lays i'll get the chick itch again man! :lau
Ballpark, how old were yours?

My youngest was just 17 weeks. :hit
My oldest was 15 months. No she wasnt a brahma either. She was a splash hamburg. I thought she would never lay but one day there was a beautiful, tiny, ever so slightly tinted perfect egg.
:love

I miss that small sweet splashed girl. Her name of course was Ducky.
She is also the one that started crowing at 7 years old.
It sounded like someone choking an owl. :lau

Haha! I had two hens that crowed, albeit not frequently.

I'd be perfectly fine with Ducky's schedule or longer. The crowing would be welcome too, love me some weird noises.
I just know the chick urge is strong,and iv'e got a meyer's account now.

LOL! Yes the urge is there for me too.

Where we got Ducky was kind of a crappy place. They advertised Australorp but had not a one. Hubby felt sorry for a few young birds about 3 months old. They were really beat up bad and in with adult RIR.
Yes we brought them home. Ducky was in the worst shape.

I'm feeling a good bit better now. I think the post nasal drip is what was making my stomach so miserable. I felt a good deal better after dinner and a large bowl of chips.

Even though I've promised myself I wouldn't get carried away this year (do too much hatching or order any birds), I've been trolling different hatchery sites.

So... I'm enjoying wonderful one on one-ish time with DD#3 while we sit in the observation floor of the hospital waiting till morning for her to get re-evaluated for appendicitis. It's 10 pm and we started at the emergency room at around 3 am this morning. Pain is getting worse, but surgeon didn't want to operate earlier today because it was possible early appendicitis, and DD#3 has health issues that make healing more challenging, so surgery is only if she really needs it. I'll keep y'all updated.

In the meantime, the challenges of crocheting with Bailey
