These maps always look inappropriate
I believe it.......I have to. We are Squatch Watchers after allYears ago my brother had an iguana that was a good 3 feet long, including the tail. It managed to get out of the house, at night. We spent hours looking for the damn thing. Never found it. I imagine it made it's way south & is still alive somewhere.
My uncle told me this story and I didn't believe him b/c he told it right after my gma had died and I thought he was just trying to distract everyone from everything, but my aunt seemed to corroborate it.
He lived up in Montville & went jogging one day... and as he was running he saw what looked like a tree across the road. As thick as his thigh. He slowed down as he approached bc he was going to try to move it so no one hit it, then he realized that the tree was actually an enormous snake. He didn't have his phone or anything w/ him so he didn't get a picture. It was too late to turn around so he just ran as fast as he could past it. He finished his run and when it came back through it was gone. It seems unbelievable, but then who knows what's living in the wild. There could easily be a large snake in the area, just eating small deer, stray & wild animals, hibernating in caves and burrows.

I hope the reinforcing hold up for you and the place stays critter free!No stinky kitty tonight,i'm not too upset by that fact either. Hoping it heard the neighbors leave meow mix out and decided to be their pet.
Did get my fence line checked, blocked off what appeared to be a critter highway on both sides and trimmed some trees away from the fence.
Hopefully that at least slows them down a tiny bit.![]()
Like others have said he likes and trusts you. I'm not sure who you can contact. His family appears to be useless. The person they sent to help seems to be out to help themselves. You may be able to get info from adult protective services. See if he can get a short term stay on a. rehab place till his one good eye is better. He may decide he likes it and reconsider an adult community.
I need to rant
I have an egg customer that I deliver to because he can't drive and would get a ride....showing up way late after he called on his way...lives 10 min away.
He has macular degeneration in one eye. He just got a blood clot in the other eye so is blind.they gave him a shot that should help dissolve the blood clot in a couple of months.
He lives alone, in his 70's. needless to say he is depressed and somewhat suicidal. His son is next county over and works, has a family blah blah and can only help his dad on the weekends for a bit. His younger brother same deal. Senior services sent a 20yr old for 25 hrs a week, that doesn't show up and doesn't do want is asked. The 20yr old also is too interested in the pain medications. The church elders came by and said they would check on him every 3 DAYSmine you he is bashing into walls and gets lost in a small one story house.
So for some reason he has decided that I am the one to help him.
I helped him over the phone with some dr things yesterday and brought over somethings today.. replaced the batteries in the remote. cooked him breakfast, went through a couple of weeks worth of mail, got the debit card and phone bill squared away. and after 2hrs I am exhausted... I am a hermit,he is a customer.. not sure why he picked me, but I hope someone else gets interested.
I said something about ast living, he said he would die first![]()

I hope the reinforcing hold up for you and the place stays critter free!

That right there is the stuff nightmares are made of...One of the things I liked to do when visiting my folks at the lake was to put a huge minnow (think small perch 3-4" long), on a rig I had for bottom fishing. I had a foot of steel cable with a super heavy weight, a tri-swivel with another 8" line for the hook and bait. The old guy across the way had an old deep sea rod and reel that we'd attach it to. Just let the line out til the weight hit the bottom. maybe bring it up a turn or so and then lock the rod into the rod holder. Most mornings I'd have fried catfish for breakfast. Mind you this was a very small lake...
One morning I came out to check the line and that rod was bent almost double. Dad and I went over and at least I was smart enough to bring the gaff Dad wrestled with that thing for must have been an hour to get it to the retaining wall. Once I got the gaff in, it took everything I had to bring it in. Once we got it on land, I picked it up and it was taller than me (I'm 6'3") and about 8" around. We didn't have a scale, but everyone in the trailer park got a 2 pound pack of catfish fillets that morning.
There was a damn in KY that couldn't open their doors, they sent divers down who immediately came back to the surface. The reason the hydraulic doors wouldn't open was catfish were sleeping up against them. Think haggis with explosives in the stomach. Dropped em in, waited and then detonated. They had lots of 5-10 sections of catfish float to the surface.
