You have a desktop and it should come with a usb cable you can just transfer everything to the new one.
If the old one still powers up at all it is easy.
Plug the usb into the oldie and the desktop and copy the kindle folder to the desktop. I think it is just labeled documents.
Then plug the usb into the new one and the desktop and move your old folder onto the new kindle. It should keep all or most of your stuff.:)

Got tired of trying to find the correct glass for my stupid Kindle so another one is on order.

Bummed about losing all my bookmarked pages, photos and log ins on the now deceased one.

Mine worked pretty well last year.
 
Yeah Chicky. I should have done that.

Sadly I began repairs without doing it.

I will have to put it back together with the now demolished old screen and give it a go.

Not much I will be sad to lose. Mostly the puppy pictures.....but I may be able to recover some from here on BYC.

Oh and the 4 free games I have been playing for 3 years.......lots of levels to redo.

Going to have to read up on how all that works.

Seriously, if it has nuts and bolts (things I can manipulate) I can fix lots of things. If it is in a program I go all tech stupid.
