Oh, and i got one of those travel neck pillows to keep my neck straight while sleeping. Can you touch your chin to your chest?
Yeah, I don’t really have any range of motion issues. The only thing that really bothers me more than I’m already hurting is holding my arm unsupported away from my body.

Hey guys. I survived the weekend, but not unscathed. I didn’t sleep well either night. Two nights ago I just couldn’t sleep. Last night, I had a muscle spasm in my left shoulder. A bath helped, but I woke up at 1:30 this morning with horrible nerve pain shooting from my neck across the top of my shoulder, down the back of my arm to my elbow, the outside of my wrist and through my pinky and ring finger. No my range on motion isn’t really limited, but it HURTS constantly and I can’t find any position that really helps. I know what I need to do, which is see my chiropractor, but I need to get home first. We have a couple errands and a midwife appointment for me on the way home. I’ll just have to push through it. My mom is with me and Thing 1, so she’ll drive and do the heavy lifting. I’m going to stop and get some of those chemical ice packs to see if that helps with the pain. I’m wary of taking anything because I’m pregnant and this is the type of pain that Tylenol won’t touch for me. I just need to get the cause of the pain taken care of.

Wish me luck.
stretching helps me .. I do classical stretch http://www.classicalstretch.com/
you probably can't do all the stretches being pregnant, but a lot of them

eta I used to have to go to the chiro all the time... a lot of the stretches they told me to do are the same... some how it's easier to follow on tv

You could make pocket sewing kits, tiny candles, refill them w/ lip balm for gifts, use them for travel size containers for things like vicks, hair clips & ties, eye lashes, one of those fire starter camping kits... I'd think almost anything you'd reuse a pill bottle for you could re-use the containers for...
That's the problem, I collect stuff I think I will reuse and now I have to go sideways through spots and can't find stuff I know I have somewhere :barnie:oops:

I have a terrible problem because of all the waste I see at work. I can’t tell you how much stuff I’ve rescued from trash. I don’t buy office supplies. Paper clips, binder clips, pens highlighters. Some of it never used. I got a mountain of paper once. They cleaned out someone’s office and all the different paper types went in the trash. Some of it was really nice.
I’ve gotten clothes! Some promotional items they didn’t give out so they just throw away. I got a camera bag once. A nice one for a DSLR camera. They bought the camera and didn’t want the bag I guess.

Morning all. Hoping today finds everyone feeling better.

I am sitting here watching it snow and planning my garden.

I want to grow tall peas this time. Soooooo tired of crawling around to get peas from tiny plants. I grew telephone peas decades ago. So pretty and productive. So very hard to find now.
Burpee has a "magnolia blossom" pea that has an edible pod too......I might have to order some.

Call around and find a place that will take them. Daycares, libraries, teachers/schools, boy/girl scouts. If you have a board of mrdd near you, they might take them. I give a bunch of random stuff to the daycare. I have a friend who works there and she'll take almost anything.. She either uses it for crafts for the kids, or in her room. I even send her old board game pieces b/c the kids are always losing pieces and she uses them to replenish the sets. Toys my kids have out grown go out for the kids to play with. For summer she has a kids camp and takes donations of random items for prizes. I got rid of a bunch of knicknacks & figurines last year doing that. I have a hard time throwing away things that aren't trash, but taking stuff to recycle helps me let it go.

That's part of the problem.. I thought when I retired I would have time to go through my stuff and organize, sort donate.... turns out it's not time but ambition. .. I just don't care enough LOL
I drug home a ton of stuff when they built us a smaller building at work. 8 shelving units I still haven't cleared a space for, 15 half empty big boxes of different weird size nails and screws.. of course wrong size for most of my projects. Electrical boxes and fittings. a pickup truck load of used t12 troffer light fixtures that I said I was going to put up in the basement and make a grow rack with., boxes of ballasts... boxes of miscellaneous parts that are good but what am I going to use for. .. well lots more filling a garage and small shed. ..
Then when I retired I took home my hard hats, a locker full of extra foul weather gear and clothes... and 35yrs of notes ( which I used 2x to help a buddy out)
I try to go through and ... well I might need it ya know .. and after working at a school and seeing how much they toss ( and ended up at my house) it's hard to donate to a school...
There is a habitat for humanity and a mission that I would donate to... just have to get motivated to go through it... of course I save boxes to put stuff in and that's part of the clutter.
