Official Squatch Watchers

I wondered what conclusions peeps might jump to. The silkies are supposed to grow up to be broodies. Bought them at the swap today. The ducks are for a friend of mine, i got them at TSC today.

Lol Cappy!

At 5 weeks old this little blue egg layer is getting a lot of red in her chest feathers.
She is what Hoovers sells as a Prairie Bluebell.

This is the darker blue bell from Hoovers.

Both of the Starlight green layers are coming in a lighter redish brown.

Yes they were freaked out since I grabbed them and did a mite check! I didn't find any.

Very cute!

I would worry if the red was on the shoulder though. That is a cockerel thing

Radish brown?

 Autocorrect strikes again!

No red on her wings......yet :p
It's pretty uniform across her chest.
I had a white EE chick that feathered in red in this same pattern. She was lost to egg binding. :(

Hubs will not be pleased if I got another oopster.
:fl Be a girl, be a girl, be a girl!
