Official Squatch Watchers

I’d love it if this would last.
He can’t be “loose” in the house at night because he literally knocks over lamp, jiggles stove knobs, pulls wine glasses out of the wine rack, unscrews the lid to the dog cookie jar and gets into the trash.
Couldn’t let him “sleep with us because he climbs to the top of our headboard and jumps onto us like we are trampolines, then clears our bedside tables and dressers bare. DH said, “out he goes”- a la Fred Flintstone. Remember this man needs it cold, dark as ink and SILENT to sleep.

So since Sam was tiny he’s been being “put to bed” in the hall bath which has been baby proofed (Sam-proofed).
He has his food and water and litter box and all his toys in there and makes a racket like a house full of frat boys til all hours then starts throwing himself at the doorknob as soon as the first bird tweets long before the sun rises.

Since his injury he’s been sleeping on a folded fluffy blanket in a medium sized dog crate-which cooper has mostly outgrown not our room (The big crate is now in the family room.)

Now he just lies down like a good boy and goes to bed. I don’t know what time he wakes up because so far whatever time I sit up and look at him he’s sitting up just looking right back at me. It doesn’t matter if I wake up at 4:30 or 7!

Guess we’ll have to see what develops. :pop:confused:

Good gosh he is active. :th

That would make it very hard for nearly everyone to sleep.

Oh I thought you guys would find this funny.

I was working on getting our tax paperwork scanned earlier and DH said “Whatcha doing? Tax stuff?” And I said “Yeah.” He then said “Wow, I’m surprised I was able to read your mind. There’s so many chickens in there.”

:lau:gig

:smack

He is taller than them. Maybe he just saw above them....
or already knew you were doing taxes.

This sounds just like my Coraline! Into mischief all the time. LOL

Ok, I had to boot them out of the bator.
Still have a couple hatching but beyond shrink wrapping worry. I want to just say....Hobo's chick looks like a grumpy old man, you'll see.:gig

This thread has long gone off of squatch watching, but I just want to say that I know I'll never be finding any chickens out here... I live very far from any other chicken owners, so if any stray chickens make it here, I'll be extremely impressed.

Yeah it is totally not about swatches. :p
The original thread was but we all had such a good time it just couldn't end.
Smuvers started this thread so we all could chat away forever.....instead of completely hijacking the original thread.

It's a super great group of people (I know there are lots more on BYC).
Kinda like a weird caring family. :p

Feel free to join in. The thread is about everything life tosses at us.
