Official Squatch Watchers

The suggestion of doing a corid drench with the corid water is to really knock it out of her system.
Oats are filling but have no value. So giving her something to fill her up that doesn't add anything nutritionally.
The joke here is mackerel for any illness. There is truth in the joke though. We just like to tease rjohns.
I go for salmon over mackerel...or look for the kind that isn't whole fish. No one warned me! Eggs are always good too.
My secret weapon is baby bird food. The kind you get to tube feed that really for baby parrots. Haven't found a chicken yet that can resist it.
Gotcha. Thanks! I did get low sodium tuna, it had more protein than salmon. Plus the oily salmon cannot be good for diarrhea. I am trying to think in human terms of diarrhea instead of chicken, which is hard.

Let me get this right for the diet...
Egg yolks, tuna, buttermilk?, my yogurt has more protein and calcium than cottage cheese. Offer feather fixer or no?
Plus, liver is good for anemia.

BTW, I have to go catch up on everyone’s posts
I prefer salmon or mackerel over tuna but any fatty fish works. I'd probably skip the buttermilk and go with a little yogurt and as nunny suggested any high protein feed. The issue with oats is that they can (quantity) inhibit nutrient absorption and they are fairly low in protein.

Hey guys,

So I've been pretty scarce lately, if any of y'all have noticed my big mouth's been missing, lol!

Basically...I was working a lot. And then suddenly, I wasn't. Unexpectedly found myself out of a job a week ago. And just as suddenly seemed to find a better one (I think), right by my house, 8 minutes away! No more commuting, in a small special-needs school, which is what I love to do. :)

So that's what's up! And, I went and got my taxes did last night, and--happily and also unexpectedly--found out that instead of having to pay, we're actually getting a little money back! Double yay! This is only the second year in my life I think that I've gotten my taxes done early, I hate numbers and am a big fat procrastinator, so that is a giant relief. :D

Baby chicks are growing like weeds (I will have to get pictures) other chickens and dogs (and hubby) all good.

I have this new weird obsession: air plants, AKA tillandsias. I got three at the Philly Flower Show and now am up to 19. They're addictive little boogers, not unlike chickens. :)

Sassy, warm welcome back! Oldhenlikesdogs...welcome to the Squatch! It's a good place to be. Everyone else, missed ya, good to be back, hugs and love and all that!!!! :love :hugs
Nice life update!

I keep forgetting to suggest adding some grit for her.

He's a good boy! Best thing to get that ointment out in the future is rubbing alcohol, the grease won't set. But put the bottle up or Cooper will clean up for you.;)
Oh gosh. First Cooper story of the day.

Last night I took a small bottle of dawn dishwashing liquid into my bathroom because I’d gotten a big smear of triple antibiotic ointment on one of my favorite t-shirts which happens to be dark blue.
I left it in there because I thought I’d let it sit overnight, rinse it, then retreat again before putting it through the wash.

Cooper came running into the kitchen a few minutes ago,

Carrying the bottle

Which wasn’t closed

From the bottom.

And had left a trail of soap from my bathroom, through the bedroom , down the hall, through the family room and all the way to the sink.

“Hey mom! You left this in the wrong place! I brought it for you! Aren’t I a good good boy?!?”:wee

Thanks Coopy. :th

Sounds good!

After the poo is better, it might be a good idea to try giving her on demand starter grower feed. If she won't eat it, wet it to make a mash

Well I suppose Bob isn't going anywhere huh? He's been out there every morning this week, this morning I just put some grain in a bowl for him since I about buried him yesterday.
Dumped a cup of food on him not on purpose . I do wish he'd get some pants if he's the first thing i'm going to see in the morning though.:hmm
Those are nice names whether they're boys or girls.. or a pat. I had a hen named Steve that turned into a roo.

Isn't that the best?! William crowed early, though not a 2 days old.. It was the funniest little squeak of a crow. So we're at 2 suspected boys and 1 definite boy? Sir Henry, Hobo's son, and the black one w/ the dot on the head?

I did not know this...

Nope... you've got a pet squirrel. Congrats on the other new addition. LOL My dad had one at the shop he used to work at. He'd feed it crackers and peanut butter. He'd keep the food in his toolbox & one day my dad went in late and the guy at the machine next to him told him that his squirrel was looking for him. The guy was afraid of it. The squirrel was sitting on my dad's toolbox waiting for him b/c it wanted some peanut butter. Unfortunately, before the shop closed the squirrel disappeared.
Then last winter my brother was putting out corn to attract deer & all he ended up doing was attracting every single squirrel, chippy, and bird in the area.
