I am getting overrun lately myself.
My "layers" slack while my old hens keep plugging along.

And as if I didn't have enough going on Sable is puking today.
She ate grass this morning. Oh goodie.
Hey! Must have been a good day for it. Cooper puked at 3:30 am.
By the time I got it cleaned up DH couldn’t go back to sleep and turned on the bedroom tv. Then he went to sleep and I couldn’t.

Then later in the morning I was sitting on the back porch with cooper watching chicken tv and I kept hearing creaking sounds over my head in the ceiling part of the porch (not an enclosed porch).

Hmmmm I thought, I hope I don’t have a dang squirrel up there!

So I said cooper what’s up there buddy?!?

And he barked.

And his bark was replied to with a meow !

“Oh CARP!” I yelled.
(Not exact translation)

But by gawd it sounded like SAM!

I RAN upstairs (never go up there) and in the hallway is a big closet.
AND THE DOOR WAS OPEN. It’s always closed.
And in the back of that closet is another big closet.
THAT DOOR WAS OPEN. And that’s always closed too.
And in the back of THAT CLOSET is three steps and the door to the attic. AND THAT DOOR WAS OPEN TOO! And is always closed AND LOCKED.

And that attic is huge and only has a plywood floor over part of it.

And out beyond where the lightbulb casts light and the floor ends is a partial wall with just a small opening in it and beyond that is who the hellllllll knows because the flashlight didn’t even light it up. It was like a black hole.
But apparently THAT is either over or leads to the area over the back porch.
AND THATS WHERE SAM WAS!
And I couldn’t get to him.
and he was having a GRAND time.
And it took me HALF THE DAY TO ENTICE HIM with all the kitty treats in my arsenal to trick him into coming out and getting close enough to me to brace my hip agains this slanted board and lean out and GRAB HIS ARSSS and haul him downstairs.

So HE spent the afternoon in the downstairs bathroom thinking about his behavior.
(With food water and litter box)

When DH came home I had him go up there and fix the slide lock on the door which the previous owners had installed upside down for some reason.

I swear. ALL the door knobs in this house have GOT to GO.

Remember last week when I felt sorry for the cat for being in the cone of shame for so long?

Dang. He was so good. 21 days.
I miss those days already.

OMG!OMG!OMFG!!!

I will gladly accept Sables quiet puking over a cat in THE hardest place to get to!

He is so lucky there wasn't some random open wall cavity to fall down.
:th

Foxes couldn't just snatch one out, the holes are only an inch in the mesh. Because the fence is much thicker it made it heavier too so anything would have a time tipping it over.
My tractor is just a big ole cube made out of PVC pipe with that fence ziptied to the sides and top, bottom is open and I just slide it from place to place.:)
This is the exact stuff i'm using, seriously all you need are scissors to cut it.https://www.walmart.com/ip/YARDGARD-40-Inches-X-25-Foot-Plastic-Garden-Fence/36140983
I have a coop run that is made with that. It works very well

Lol! Come on you see that face every day you can't possibly be the LEAST bit surprised lol!
Sam is a heathen a tried and true heathen aaaaand he's YOURS! He's a good kitty, a very good kitty.
At least he didn't barf, he let Cooper have that.:gig
Only ribbing you, because I almost threw my own cat away in a potting soil bag today. She slipped in, she's black and heavily medicated i'm nearly blind and thought she was moldy dirt.
My moldy dirt meowed about halfway to the bin.:hmm

Here are a couple of the poops from today. Henrietta is outside, but not enjoying it. I put a box in the pen and she stays in it. I am finding that she only will eat her yogurt or buttermilk when I am with her. She doesn’t feel good.
Top one looks better aside from the blood still, almost like a sand castle.

BAD KITTY!

Last summer I had enough of all the mis matched door handles on the outside doors so I replaced them all! They now all match and I bought ones that you can key to any key so they all open with one key!

I love it!

Henny I actually said " I love you plastic fence" out loud. Never knew how much I hated netting until fence came along.:gig

I got mine at Home Depot. I used it to hold the Polish when the stinking BSL's kept pulling head floof out. I have also used it to keep chickens out of the veggie garden. It did not withstand bunny teeth. :hmm They wanted in the garden pretty bad lol.

My grandmother could not find her lost cat and she kept saying “I feel like she is here.” Almost a week later she heard the cat meowing in a chifforobe in the basement closed up. When my grandmother was getting something out, the cat must have crawled in. She opened the door and the cat bolted out.

Nothing can withstand bunny teeth, know this for a fact. Hopefully the bunnies won't be itching to get in the tractor. I DO worry about Bob though he'd try it in a second if there is anything he thinks he could eat.:)
