Poor person, but if you don't know, you don't know pretty crappy because it really seems like TSC sees these people coming a mile away.

What's just as bad, if now worse is when they have a bin full of unsexed bantams for 50 cents each and some poor soul comes in an buys a dozen of them. You just know they're getting a butt load of boys, plus the eggs are super tiny & aren't going to be what the expected at all. At least w/ the cornishx you can sell or process. It sucks to not get what you want, but at least they have more potential to someone than a box of tiny roosters.

I hope the illness is affecting her more b/c she's putting so much energy into growing her feathers back in. If nothing else, it's a good sign that she's filling them in still.

Holy wow.. and I thought the $35 jubiliee orps were a cash cow. I like how they say they're the only place to buy them... I'd buy a dz and breed them out and cut into their profits.

They do if you hatch them and sell the babies.

I'm thinking they did a double import. They imported them to a country that is allowed to export to us, kept them there for a couple generations and then imported from there.

Ugh.. I wish I remembered to open my windows this morning! It's raining/ storming here right now.

I have a theory that the stores buy a whole lot of boys from the hatchery because they're cheap mark them straight run to make a bigger profit.
That banty bin though..lol! I know one dude who bought them ALL close to two dozen. He got a grand total of three females.
