Good morning! Left brooder open just a tad too much last night....babies free ranging the kitchen floor this morning.
I must have made chicken status though, they all came to me.

Ok so......
Chickpea size balls of food are a bit big. I will aim for small pea sized next round.

I did get about 10 in her before she had enough of that carp.

It was pretty easy to get her to swallow them.

We will lather, rinse and repeat every 4 hours or so.

I use a big beach towel, but Henny in the middle and swaddle wrap those wings, wrap tightly around the feet and back around the wings. When tube feeding, I put her in between my legs facing me. When feeding her this morning, I tucked her under my left arm. I fed her and she decided to eat a little on her own. I ran out if time. I think I will do this outside or in the tub later. Super messy.

Mine was so crumbly and sticky. I need to do something to make it hold a ball shape.

I added more dry and worked it between my fingers to form it.
Pinch and squeeze and pinch and squeeze and pinch and squeeze.

I found it easier to make it more like very small cylinders than balls.

The sun is finally coming out here. It is still chilly at 37°.

Hubs needs new work boots so off to the shoe store soon.

It looks like all the stuff I had planted and sprouted survived the cold heavy snow followed by the heavy frost.

I will try and pull more crazy runner grass out of the front garden bed today. It is horrible and impossible once the ground dries out.
