Pm update on Miss May.
I got 26 pea sized bites into her. Not as much as I would like her to eat but much better than zero.

Everything here is quiet and calm now. The storms seem to have passed. I just came inside from putting the chickens to bed and the wind has calmed and the rain has stopped

I say this in a whispering, calm voice. Henrietta had 3 normal poops and she ate some feed, I put a little bit of buttermilk on it. I did tube feed her twice, I never could get my feed to make small balls. Plus, she has some fight back in her and she is voicing her opinions. Not sure how much longer she will remain undetected.
No celebrating!!! It is still too soon!!!

Glad everyone has survived the bad weather.

The worst of the storm seems to have passed by us now. We got started on sorting the chickens at 7:15 and we finished at 8:30. I have sorted out 7 girls for my mom and 14 Cornish pullets to cull. I kept 6 with the flock. I’m probably going to give 12 to my mom and sell the rest of the culled pullets.

Anybody who hasn't watched itty bitty cock fights in their living room just isn't living.

You all know I have a crooked beak Orpington.....and that she had mites.

She also failed to molt last fall.

She is nearly naked now.


And ya know what...............her entire body is out of whack.
Her neck is not centered, her left wing is farther forward and higher than her right.

It is like the whole right side was pushed down and back a bit.

She is my little hunchback.

I had a Delaware like that. Cross beak and when I processed him, his carcass was out of Whack too

He still tasted good though
