At least you made it out! I know one person who's done it and they didn't make it out in time, but they went w/ their kids.

I can't seem to find information on how large a area would be placed under quarantine if it's found just as precaution and what would be the area that would be mandatory euthanasia. I've just found out that a place 2.7 miles from me is being inspected due to chickens being smuggled back from a CA location that was under quarantine.

That's horrible. I get people wanting to protect their flock, but that was so irresponsible. I hope they're flock is ok and isn't a risk to you.

@apryl29 Nope, no eggs except the one Tucks ends up with every day. That one egg is Hobo's she boots Tucks out, lays, then Tucks comes back to one egg.
Iv'e told them both no more babies.

Thank you, I am hoping so too, myself and my car haven't been anywhere near the location, I just don't know what they'd consider a safe distance.. I'm on FB and the guy who told about the check said that they were aware of the quarantine and went anyway.. now the guy I heard it from is looking at the possibility of loosing his flock of over 200 birds. He tried to get the AZ Vet involved prior to these A-holes going to get the stuff and the birds and they never bothered to contact them, the A-holes only heard "Free" and told him that the risk was worth it..

Ugh... wow. I thought they'd had birds in CA and moved them to AZ to try to keep them from getting sick. People are so stupid. I hope the fine the people who gave the birds to the guy knowing they were in a quarantine zone.

I want to know why the VND even popped back up, it was so damn rare to begin with.
Also want to know why there are sooo many chicks without eyes this year because that is weird.
Got my suspicions but they're of the tinfoil hat variety.
