Good afternoon! Today is the day of pitiful peeps, the day they move to the coop at night.
Henry was the deciding factor, last night if I got out of his sight he'd full force peep. At his age the cuteness of that is looong gone. Oh and Dick crowed in front of hubs this morning, so that helped too.:)
Poor little Barb. She is ok?
:woot She IS ok!!!!

:th
It was just a toe stuck in between velcro, all she had to do was step back instead of pushing forward.:p

How do you feed the eggs to them? Cooked, raw? When mine were on the wormer I felt like I was feeding them too much egg. I just cooked them scrambled in a big pot.
Sometimes I cook them, but mostly I crack and splat a huge pile of raw eggs and birds come running from everywhere.

Half done, got the coop pen set up. I'm taking a break before taking the other pen down.
Can't do anything out there without chicken supervision though, pretty much set the pen up around the rooster.:)
:highfive: for nosy rooster supervision. One of these days I need to remember to get a picture of Roux staring through the kitchen window creepy Tony style.

Oooh I might have to try that. I am all in favor of a short-cut. How many birds do you have? I am picturing a full on chicken stampede ;)
It is a stampede. :D Out in my big shed I have 66 chickens, and 18 muscovy. My bantam coop has 24, and I have 14 turkeys in another separate shed.

The key is to make sure they don't resemble eggs. So those that don't break fully on the first throw I quickly step on. It cuts down on my feed bill as well.

When I bring cooked eggs, it is crazy town out there, everyone loves them cooked. I raise my chicks on a daily treat of scrambled eggs and they learn to come running when they see that dish. My birds are free ranged so some come to the house looking for me, so I have to stop feeding the cooked for a while, or else we end up surrounded. :)

I'd trade for a creepy Tony style staredown anytime! Negan likes to remove gray hairs while I work and make freaking nests.:barnie
I'm done though, the kids are officially kicked out of the house.

I went to get feed and that store had 2 derps left. They are roughly 5 days old.
So far so good.
