I normally go and cover the mess with dirt/leaves but iv'e been slacking since the babies hatched.
No kidding, in a month I bet there was four inches of hulls down there on my side, on his I don't even want to guess. I'm not anti bird feeder by any means but dude that is nasty.

If I were you I'd be asking her when would be a good time to drop the kids off to their mom. Those were her own eggs, so in reality they were free chicks so I wouldn't be too worried. I get being disappointed that more didn't hatch, but I'm sure it's not her worst hatch rate. You did what you could for them, I doubt she'll be bothered by it.
Ugh.. Can you put something over there to block her from rolling in the parasite? I guess it could be much worse, ALL of them could think it's a good idea to hang out over there.
Oh, at my dr's office it's the receptionist who calls, maybe she's a nurse too, but she's def the person who answers the phone when you call to make an appt & is sitting at the window when you go in for an appt.
I think this should be a reminder to all of us to make sure that we follow up w/ the dr's office and if we have tests done to ask about them at the next appt & don't assume the dr will see them or remember they were ordered.
