Official Squatch Watchers

Good morning! Getting ready to go put the littles out in the tractor.
Supposed to be another hot day 90's again yay!
Good news I think Lulu is no longer broody, she roosted with everybody last night. I guess the delousing took it out of her lol!:gig
Morning y'all.

Another cold morning and rain in th forecast.

It being super thin could be from several things......none of which would make me want it around. Several of the reasons it is thin could make it even more dangerous.
Be careful in case it is diseased.
I know Henny, it just looks pitiful. :(

We had some thunder with the rain today.

 Seriously it was not horrible thunder.

It takes just a tiny bit of thunder to kick the 110# old dog into being a giant furniture tipping panic factory.
:barnie Not to mention the panic panting....and the panic it causes the other dogs.
Maybe he needs a thunder jacket.

Its still rediculous what medications cost. I just saw a video about an HIV med. It's almost $2000 a month for that medicine in the US. Yet its $8 a month for the generic in Australia. The US tax payers funded the research and development. Funded the drug trials and got the medicine on the market. But once the generic was made the company that makes the original put a stop to the generic being sold in the US.
Greed has no boundaries!

Henny, I've been avoiding my soap box. But here goes... I've been up close and personal with big pharma and the business side of hospitals and dr offices. The reason there are so many frustrated nurses out there is because patient care is a tertiary objective. Keep the patient alive so they can keep paying, but keep them paying. Ok done with rant.
Plus everyone puts the doctors on pedestals, so if something doesn't get done, it is her fault. Never mind the fact that there is never enough staff for the work to be accomplished. People think the nurse has nothing to do but call in Rxs, but she is busy putting people in rooms, giving shots, returning phone calls etc. Nurses do most of the work in medical situations, but get no respect and certainly little appreciation.

Mostly I was worried he may do a run at you. Nasty mean buggers.

Maybe he needs a thunder jacket.

We tried that and it made it worse for him. Poor old dude just absolutely hates loud noises.

We had a Derp escape this morning.
She hopped out as I was going into the coop.
No worries mom was hot on her heels to bring her back inside.
:lau

I think the 4 pack is just about ready to be turned loose with the big hens. No one is puffing up at the fence at all.

Believe me, I understand the cynicism towards those in the medical field. Some are wonderful and others are about the money. It pays to find those who are helpful. I have seen the best and the worse with all my surgeries, and appointments.

There's also people that want to be cared for, as opposed to ones like me that want to take responsibility for my own care. I am my best advocate. My health is my responsibility.
Love your avatar, Hen!

:hugs Your soap box looks a lot like mine does.
I got new paint and spinners on my wheels the last 2 weeks.

Totally understand the taking personal responsibility for ones health. That's what we are trying to do.

Side note......Hubs just started the glipicide this morning.
He read 171 before dinner. :)
Now I think upping the meds as prescribed over the course of the next week may send him to low.
We will keep a close watch and notify doctor of changes to his readings before upping the meds.

Seriously! Just 2 weeks ago (come Monday) he was at 564.
:th
He has come a long way!

Maybe put cotton balls in his ears if it is thundering?
