Morning y'all.

Another cold morning and rain in th forecast.



It being super thin could be from several things......none of which would make me want it around. Several of the reasons it is thin could make it even more dangerous.
Be careful in case it is diseased.

yep they were by me last year. Lots less raccoons this year, Between distemper and the neighbor hiring a trapper I have only seen a couple. I live next to a forest preserve and 2 cricks run through my property... so I will always have predators.

I hope the trapper can keep the numbers down!

We do not have a raccoon problem here in Woodland because the City hired a trapper for many years. No Squirrels either.

Ugh, lovely. He wasn't on his hind legs but he was scratching like crazy and his baggage was bright red.
He went up a tree so I got a clear view of the bottom of a male raccoon.

I’m beat! Got the door from the coop to the run cut and put up. Put my second group of littles in the coop. Lila Broody Queen went over to the cage ”tuk tuking” like they were hers. Got the nipple waterer out there too. I’ve seen them use it so, so far so good.
I’m going to nap now.
