I see......

Is that outside picture the South side? I would totally take that off too. I see water lines on the roof boards......might want to make sure the screws get replaced with ones with washers built in. Check for rot too.

I would definitely be taking that metal off to cut. Of course there will be framing needed for windows.
The south side is in the outside photo, and I want it to be open. The with on the inside is Romex wire, coming out. The wood piles coming out and the termite guy is treating the whole workshop and lean to.

It looks like you are getting there!

I would take them off to cut them too...but I am old and free cutting metal sounds like a terrible idea for my body
I am too old for that, and my DH is not able his back is not fit to do that. That phase is past for us. I have a helper, I do his computer work, he owes me remodel work. I am up to 2 days of his time on our little barter system. So, I want to be efficient on the time! But, I hope with 2 days of work to have most of a usable chicken house done! There are lots of extra wood and metal left behind by the seller. IMG_4100.JPG
This is the West side from the outside late in the afternoon gets some shade. There is some metal roofing that is better than the siding on the lean-to in this photo. I think I want to make the openings where it is sunny, cover with HW cloth and use that new roofing for covering, that would only be closed if there was another 17" of snow like last winter.
