We are on septic, plus have hardpan. Funny thing is that it property drains so well that even though the water company knows there is a leak in the line on their side of the water meter, they can't find it anymore. The idiots building next door got it last winter, and as soon as it got covered up it disappeared. The one dude from the water company said they'd be able to find it cuz it would bubble up, I said no you won't. In the middle of our unusually cold and frozen winter it was liquid the whole time, and there water was draining at the same rate as the leak, so the deepest the water ever got was 8 inches. You could even see the water moving.

I love when the Dr doesn't listen to the mom having her third kid. This one was sitting maybe 40 ft away and ended up coming in, looked and said "Give me gloves! Any gloves will do!" What was even better was the fact that he got hosed with amniotic fluid and basically had to change before coming back in to stitch the rear. I have him enough of a warning to get the down and make with shield on, but hey, OB Drs know more than the moms who've already had kids. For me, there was no "you're at 9 cm," it was 8 cm and then telling them I had to push.

Good morning folks :frow

I came home to find my Marans with the crop issue dead. And something is clearly wrong with Jr. If he is at rest the back of his comb is black. During the day when he’s moving around it’s red but at night after roost and when he first gets up it doesn’t look good.
The first time I saw it like that was only yesterday. Makes me think something is wrong with his heart but it sounded ok to me. He is very thin as well.

@FlyingNunFarm :hugs:hugs:hugs I hope things get better for you, losing an animal is always hard, and your flock has been getting the raw end of the deal.

Morning everyone.

This morning is the usual housework then a DR appointment.

I hope to have a chance to work on my filter system this afternoon. It rained yesterday so no staining lumber or doing much outside.
I noticed the weeds in the garden are WAY to happy. Those are also on the list for removal.

All the birds are ok today. I know they would appreciate dry ground too.

:fl That things dry up some today for all the soggy folks.
