Three dogs are bathed!
One to go.
The wall crawler Sable. :th
She does not like a bath, not at all.:hmm

Jack, he is a good boy. He steps into the tub and stands still. Turning around is a challenge cause he is big but he gets it done. Then he waits while I towel him off before exiting the tub.
:love Such a good boy.

Tilly stood still for hers after a boost into the tub. Turning around was a no, but she let me reach over and under to wash that entire side. Towel off was a 60% success before she thought she was done. We finished that in the living room.

Delilah, big HAIRY Delilah. :hmm
She is not a fan of a bath. It took 2 people, half a bottle of shampoo, a full water heater and 5 towels. Not all the towels were for her.

Fun times when the dogs are big.
I am glad mine don't make that "I will kill you for this" full teeth face.

I rarely wash the shepherd. It has not been raining enough to get the wet dog smell going on. I did wash her outside once with the hose when she rolled in bear poo. The pup is so small, I could wash her in the sink. So far no reason to.

These baths are to ensure zero fleas are on my dogs.
I bathe mine every month or more as needed if they get really muddy.

Sable is hiding behind the recliner. :hmm She may be on to me.....

I don't want to tempt fate, but since my old dog passed I have not seen any fleas on the dogs. And I check carefully every day. Very dry here.

We are seriously a desert here. Not even ticks live here....some in the mountains but not here.
That flea I saw freaked me out. I just say no to fleas.

Sounds like trying to bathe the cattle dog. She loves to swim but bath time is a big fat NO. She behaves for the most part. Goes dead weight when it's time to get in the tub. Then she likes to stand on the edge in preparation for getting out. That works pretty good for me cause I can wash her belly better. But she takes forever to wet down. I always wondered about one of these.

Thought it might help getting the fur wet if I could get the water right down to the skin.

The ACD is a 5 towel kinda dry too. If I can get her to stand still long enough. Once the water is off she is ready to go. Then she runs around the house like a maniac. Usually I'll lay a few towels on the floor and tell her dry herself. She'll rub on the towels instead of the couch at least.

Chihuahua goes in the sink. LOL

That is a neat idea.....I wonder on water pressure....
We have to use the pulse setting for Delilah.....so much hair!

Sable actually literally backs up the wall...tips of toes on front feet in the tub and butt halfway up the wall.
:lau

If she went dead weight I would be better off.
My son has agreed to assist in bathing Sable when he gets home.
No one will get out of it dry!! :gig

If you see her start to shake put your hand on her back. It stops them from shaking.

My girl has a lion mane around her neck. It's like a quadruple coat. Rediculous amounts of fur. And I can brush her first but it doesn't matter. O have to clear the drain 2-3 times while bathing.
