Yes the desert is definitely very sunny, dry, brown, sparce, and at times depressing.
I agree we need more regular rain.

And here I always say that you can tell when you cross the New Mexico-Colorado border because Colorado is much greener :lau
 
Good second really late morning!
I'm still pretty nappy so I crashed again after letting the kids out.
Still improving though, feel slightly less crappy everyday.
Was looking at squirrel Bob this morning compared to some of his wilder buddies and that squirrel hopefully appreciates me.
A good amount of them are covered in bots, odd this time of year normally those are long gone.
Bob however has zero bots.
Iv'e had to make a Bob stick to poke him in the butt and get him out of the bowls though.
He used to scoot if I clapped or snapped close but he's over that and iv'e got to poke him pretty good even now.
After this im just going to have to get him a bowl I guess.:)

Hmmmmm...I have never been many other places....perhaps NM is even browner. :hmm

Bots are horrible! Poor squirrels.
 
Maybe he does, a little cat bowl or something with Bob all fancy on the side.
He's obviously staying so might as well.
Those bots are so gross, and the wilder squirrels are loaded down it looks horribly painful.
Goats normally get them too but iv'e not seen any on either neighbors goats.
Got my birthday sweater and I can already tell im going to wear the crap out of it.
She got me an XL so butt will be covered, and the yarn is soft not scratchy.
Only thing I might tack a jingle bell to the rooster's little hat so I can be as annoying as possible.
Started altering the slutterfly costume, added a good 5inches of tutu at the bottom and let out the waist a little.
Im working with 10lbs of slutterfly but only a 5lb sack.
Chick who gave it to me is pretty much the same size as me so either her weight is distrubeted wildly differently than mine oooor she has no issues with showing the world about a quarter of her butt cheeks.
The thing is o.k until you see the back then its moon city.:lau

I'm 72 and just discovered slim fit blue jean leggings that fit at true waist and you just pull on. Cannot believe how very comfortable they are without a zipper etc. So much easier and faster. Plus they provide some gentle support that makes the muscles happy.

I bought one pair from LandsEnd- then ordered two more. I expect they will be the only jeans I wear till it's cold enough to need fleece lined ones. I had ordered my regular size and they were a bit too loose. I ordered more in a size smaller - perfect. Plus I washed the original pair in hotter water hoping to shrink them a bit. It worked and now I am keeping them also.

I live in jeans - even in summer because I have to avoid sunburn and can't count on the lotions. Plus worry about lyme ticks, etc. At the time they were 40% off. But often they have 50% on full price item. I don't work for LE and definitely don't get compensated for my review. Just happy for myself. You can return things you don't care for and will get full refund whether you wore them awhile or not. Also they will shorten to the length you want. I didn't have mine shortened because there is just a tiny bit I fold up. I am - 5F tall. Believe you can get them also in black, etc. But never cared for black pants, they tend to look dusty.
