No.

When I say deaths doorstep yeah for reals that bad.

They are doing everything they can. I know many people would say let her go.......I cannot look in her eyes and ignore that plea for help.

I also know where there is life there will be death.....I just hope for more life for her.
How old is she? I feel for you both.:hugs:hugs

So sorry for your loss. :hugs:hit

I had a hawk attack when I was 200 ft away
I did scare it off and after 6 months living in a parrot cage in the living room, she was well enough to go back to the coop
So happy your bird made it. When I first got to Ash I thought maybe I could help her, but it was already too late. I get that hawks need to eat, but I can't believe how bold they are.

Sorry for your loss. I had my favorite Polish pullet carried off screaming , I was only feet away. I tried to pursue on the Mule, but lost the hawk in the woods. Broke my heart. That was back in TN.
That's horrible. Thankfully this hawk was too small to take off with her. She is a bantam so she wasn't very big at all. Probably why it went after her. I see people who let their chickens roam free w/ no one outside all the time, I don't see how people do it and don't lose every single bird.

OMG! I am so sorry! :hugs:hugs:hugs:hugs:hugs

Tilly, not ok. 4 hours ago I got her into the emergency clinic.
Literally on deaths doorstep.
She is pouring blood out both ends now. They have her on heavy iv fluids 4+ liters so far into her.
Meds have been given, X-Ray taken etc etc etc.

She swallowed a rock at some point BUT that is not the cause of the blood. When I left to come home they were getting ready to try and draw more blood.
More X-Rays to be taken by day staff.
My poor girl!!!

She is hanging on.....barely. :hit

Nothing more I can do except keep authorizing tests and treatments.

So far $2,000. I don't give a tater about the $. I want her to be ok. :fl
I'm so sorry! I hope they figure out what's wrong and can fix it. :hugs
I know you're dealing w/ a lot right now, but when you have the time and energy I'd call the emergency vet and talk to their manager and tell them what happened b/c someone's butt needs to meet a foot for telling you to wait for the regular vet. If they can't handle the job then they shouldn't be working there.

Just barely turned one last month.

Diagnosis is hemorrhagic gastro enteritis. Basically puking and pooping blood profusely. The cause of it is unknown.

Reading a lot of studies on it and the studies list all the tests that get run and that there is no cause found.

I just spoke to the emergency clinic and she was able to stand briefly so they could clean her up. Still super super sick with basically watery blood out the back end.

Do what you can for her. It doesn't matter what other people think.

I know you've been feeding her chicken and rice, could she have eaten something and gotten sick? I know almost nothing about dogs healthwise, but can they get a dog flu or something that can cause these symptoms? Didn't she have the not eating thing & puking earlier this year? Maybe she's one of those dogs that eats random objects that might not show on an xray.. like how you see those dogs that eat socks and underwear.

Earlier in the year it was Sable the pitsky refusing food and being puky after her spay.
Yeah she will never go under anesthesia again unless it is for life saving stuff. She did NOT handle it well at all.

The X-Ray was really clear. I could trace her innards and the only thing in there is fluid and the rock.
I keep laundry out of reach as well as checking every toy often for wear.
I am kind of a freak about that lol.
I pick up every rock I find in the kennel as I do poop pick up too.

Just a really freak thing going on.

:fl That with fluids she'll be stabilized. Is there a thing w/ dogs if they get super dehydrated that this can happen? Or is the rock maybe stuck or pointy and is hurting her?

Good questions.

Yes it can be exacerbated by dehydration.

The rock is round and has moved into the colon. It is believed the rock is not the cause of her bloody stuff.
Normally unless the foreign object is sharp there is not blood involved.
