ok Tilly update....

She does indeed have aspiration pneumonia.

The antibiotic she was already on is the most commonly prescribed for it....interestingly it is not effective in 60% of the cases.

She has 2 new meds and stopping that one med. Physical therapy done at home to loosen the fluid and a recheck in 2 weeks.

Her bloodwork shows she is fighting infection but also recovering from the bloodloss.
That means numbers are still off but more normal than Thursdays check.

Today's bill was $450. That is with the vet waiving the exam fee.

Good news but :barnieon the bill

Not so much brave, im tired of her jabbing me with the things.
She is brutal I tell you!
You are a brave soul!!!!

I would have to use welding gloves, Kevlar gloves, shark gloves, those "don't cut yourself" gloves and I would STILL wind up needing stitches.

Man, poor girl just can't catch a break can she?
Just keep babying her.:)

Morning everyone.

I have a steam humidifier running full force.
She is refusing water. :hmm
I will let that first med settle and syringe water to get her hopefully drinking.

I really do appreciate you all and the support and kindness of every one of you. :hugs
Prayers :hugs

Good morning folks :frow

Henny I'm hoping the new meds work and she starts drinking again soon :hugs

Me too Bob.

Catch 22.....the expensive huge antibiotic is to be given.....after a full meal.
I can barely get 1Cup of food in her at best. :(

Gonna try again in 10 minutes.

I am also going to go get a bigger syringe so I can make her a slurry to squirt in her mouth.
Maybe THAT will work.
