Morning everyone.

I am up too. :caf still dark here.

Nothing quite says "winter" like digging a car out at 5:30am that the plow truck was kind enough to bury in.

All the doggies are back asleep. :celebrate

I will try to dig the big run out this morning. At least a good path to their covered space. :hmm

We ended up with almost 22" of snow . :th

Good morning Henny!
How many snowpeople have you made yet? :D
Kids are out, totally unimpressed about the sog.

A big zero on the snow people. The dogs and I packed all those parts pretty flat in their run though. :p

I will have to shovel a path to my son's parking spot today too. There was a 4' wall of hard snow from the plow. :hmm

I will never understand why they plow TOWARD the South side of the road. Most folks on the South side have cars on the street and it NEVER melts on the south.
There are very few cars parked on the north side. That side the houses have 2 car garages and driveways.

Good morning Bob! :)
Waiting for the rain to slack up so I can let the birds loose.
:frow Woke up to a rainy 66* morning. I'll take it over what poor henny's got.

:frow I truly think plows put the snow in the worst possible places on purpose. :duc

No snowpeople? Im shocked lol!
It sound like the plow drivers are butt holes, but considering their job it might be semi understandable.
I don't think iv'e ever seen a snow plow, we just have salt trucks...not my fault, don't smack me. :p

Trade ya Bob. :D

I agree. :hmm
One year we had snow to the top of the tailgate on my one ton dually. We shoveled out a space for my daughter to park as she would be home at 10pm from work. At 9:30pm they had a front end loader out here to clear ice jams. Yup he started dumping Volkswagen sized chunks right where we had cleared.
I ran out to stop him and got the "Look lady I been in this loader 23 hours and I have to put it somewhere." Yes I told him to get the blank out then and I would move the blanking ice. I pointed out that no one parks in front of the house next door so that would be a better choice than the space we just obviously cleared for a blanking reason.

Yeah, he was being a big jerk.

Have I mentioned that I dislike snow....a lot?

On a brighter note.....I will have a quieter day and plan to do prep cooking for tomorrow.
River is able to sleep outside her playpen now. She likes the big foot stool for that. :p
I like not having to pen her up constantly.

We should warm enough to see a lot of melting over the next 5 days. I will try to dig the sides out on the hoop run so I can lift a flap and give them sunshine.

Yup it is a cold nightmare. Yup puppy has been out in it. Yup she thinks it is fun.
It's always fun when you just get to enjoy it. I still have no idea what they're claiming we're going to get from all that. Nothing near what you guys got, but they said over night we might get some s-stuff. No talk on inches or anything.. The biggest news is the 50 mph winds blowing through. This is some crazy weather!

While we wait for pics from Cappy .....

S**w. And some very blurry play! Actual play out of my sick girl.
:sick

would mild competition stir up her appetite? We had a poor eater (pup) and we would threaten with his brother. "Here George," and push the dish near him.

Well George was not gung ho about eating either. Turned out both needed their tonsils out. Expensive puppies, then they both had "cherry eye," more $$$$ but, eventually beautiful healthy puppies.

Funny, I was holding George when the UPS man came to the door. When he heard me call the pup "George," he loved it. Could not believe I would name a dog that. He bought him and said he'd pick him up Saturday. He did. Easiest sale I ever made. Kept his
brother - who was the last dog I had, he lived for 14 years.
I don't know why people think it's so odd to give animals people names. I think it's pretty normal. What are you supposed to call them?
I've never heard of a dog needing it's tonsils removed. I never even knew they had them!

Got the kids put to bed, there was a hen fight between Ethel and Kim.
They're so small though it was adorable lol.
It was pretty serious they were fighting like men by god!
I ended up snatching Kim mid flog and putting her on the roost, it was getting dark and Ethel does NOT quit.:gig
Oh Albert brought a freind home tonight, and its a negative skunk.
White with a black oval on it's back.
I wanted to take a picture, but that skunk might not roll like Al and i'd hate to find out the hard way.

Thats puuuurty! Feel free to smack me. :D

My board is stupid crappy/finicky/hot garbagey.
This was board number 3 of the exact same make/model, im not crazy I swear.
My other things are all jam up and were bought for that board I didn't know it was sh*t on a stick at the time, it truly is though just looks cool.
It is just cheaper, easier, less soul crushing to keep a spare.
It has puuurty lights though!
Really kinda wanted to see the skunk. He sounds amazing, but I don't blame you for not getting one.
We buy in bulk (20 or so at a time IF we can get my boss to order anything) and will lose one occasionally. I lost one in mine, then one in a public computer, but they were 2 different models, bought years apart, both out of warranty. Found a new motherboard online, but for some ignorant reason my boss never bought replacements... Then she complains about how expensive new computers are. :he

I offer her food with the others getting food too. She checks her dish, their dishes and goes to lay down. Even involving the "hoover" River does not motivate her.
I know she is hungry when I offer her food but she flat out refuses. I then add hot water to her dish and blend it with my hand blender. That is what she gets in the syringe. She doesn't fight the syringe in the morning or evening.

Just gonna take time I think.
I have had hubs and son try to get her to eat since my constant pill shoving might be putting me on the shifty list. :hmm

:smack
Does she show interest if the food is softened? I'm guessing if she eats treats that she isn't sensitive to the crunchy stuff going down.. maybe she's pulling a fast one on you w/ only eating treats so you'll give her more of them.

One only still, last time I checked. Isn't she cute?
OhMyGasp! She's adorable!!! Any others yet?

We got the rain, but we're only in the low 50's and expect to drop drastically through the day. Are you getting crazy wind there too? We have warnings about gusts in the 40-50 mph range.

Trade ya Bob. :D

That guy sounds like a huge d. I get being tired, but it's not like a clean space would have magically appeared w/o someone intentionally clearing it. Even if your car had been parked there and you left you'd expect it to still be clear when you get home.
Yay for River adjusting well & Tilly feeling better. :fl that things continue to improve for your family & that the snow melts at an appropriate rate so you don't end up with a mud swamp or flooding.

I do moisten the food. I am still getting the sniff and snub. :hmm
No extra treats will be given. She needs her good food so that trick ain't gonna work. ;)

Sable scarfed then barfed because she did not chew this morning. I gave her the rest of Tilly's mush so she has food in her belly too.

These dogs are going to send me to the padded room yet!

Birds are tended. It is 4° so shoveling won't happen just yet.
