Are you the Manager now? Someone should let you know and also compensate you accordingly
No, for the time being the Director is going to oversee our dept & the HR/asst dir is going to be doing our scheduling. They're going to have to post the position & I'll interview for it, but I'll be happy if they hire someone else for it as long as they are smarter than I am. I know enough to get by, but there's so much more that we could do here if we had someone who actually had training or experience w/ stuff. I can only learn so much on my own & any training I've tried to get was never approved (or not approved, it was just ignored until it had passed). There was a lesson learned though.. Know when it's time to retire & don't stick around past your usefulness. This *could* have been a nice occasion if she had just accepted it was time to retire.

Well I'm not going anywhere till Sunday, so guess it's okay that I missed going to bed on Friday.
What are you doing that you are missing going to bed? Can you get a timer to put on a lamp that turns off at midnight so you can go to bed if you're still up? I'm not sure what tv station it is, but one of them will say "Go to bed" after a show around midnight. I always thought it was funny, but I guess it makes sense that sometimes you need a reminder.

Ohhh! Extra stuff is always good!
Yes sleep was missed and apparently im stocking back up lol!
I'd probably sleep even better but hubs and the cat have taken to piling up on my sack with me.:barnie
So the sack experiment is a success? Did you write a glowing review for the sack?

Good morning! Haven't been out yet but I hear rain so another soggy one....actually another soggy week with a chance of snow Friday.
It figures it would snow when iv'e got a skinny, naked bird. :)
Same. Loki & Jackie are still 1/2 naked. Clover is well covered still, but she's dropping feathers all over the place. I know she's molting from the feathers, but she's got so many I can't tell from looking at her. Bitter cold is coming here, but then we warm back up a bit again. Hopefully they stay warm enough.

We are supposed to enter a period of bitter cold lows and only somewhat better highs.
I forget when - so it will remain a surprise to me. :gig
You'll probably get it today b/c we're supposed to peak overnight then hit low 30's by noon tomorrow. You'll be cold all week too. Stay warm!

My brother is 69 and has been holding off on retirement because his best "buddies" are at work. But, so many have been retiring, he may do it sooner than later.
It really depends on the job and if you can still do it. We had one guy who worked here in our IT dept until he was 77, but then he got to the point where he knew his memory was going & it was time. Not sure if anyone had talked to him about it before though. Kinda like realizing that maybe you shouldn't be driving anymore. Some people realize it and accept it on their own & some people you have the pry the car keys out of their hands.

One of my amberlinks is doing that puffed up standing w/ the wide legs thing again. I couldn't do anything w/ her yesterday, but she was eating and walking around. I'm going to bring her and and soak her tonight & get her dried up before putting her back outside. It's supposed to be 50's tonight, but it's getting cold tomorrow. I'm just hoping that soaking her, then getting her all dried out will help her. She's finish(ing/ed) her molt so I'm hoping she's just have a bit of trouble getting that first egg out after months of not laying and it's not internal laying like w/ Abby.

A few better pics of the collars I make.

They are 1.5" wide so pretty big really.

In other news.....

My old dog is not doing well. He has been losing control of all 4 limbs which sends him careening like a 105# battering ram as he tries to regain control.
It is super dangerous to him and everything/everyone around him.
:( His time is short. I knew it was coming but it still sucks duck butter.
