I think Pat would need a Home Depot bucket lid!

She did say it was a Brahma...

Yup she is a big ole brahma. Whipped topping lid size at least. :th

She has been a bit better today without the splint.

@FlyingNunFarm Pat is a BIG guy! I think Cinders is close to that. She weighs 11 pounds.

@CapricornFarm that coop is coming right along.:highfive:

Yes, and I painted a big piece of plywood so I just need to cut it to size and screw it on. The young chickens will be glad to get out of the cramped quarters.

Last I checked Pat he was roughly 9 lbs. I should weigh him again once the mites are gone and see. He is just massive.

I bet he's strong, he's like a giant blonde turkey lol!
Glad his mites are dead, can't stand those nasty beeches.

That's how I have to hold him to look him over for mites. (Dead 🤞) I put him on my lap and hold his legs with mine so he doesn't flail. He's strong!

Kind of double edged isn't it?
They're so beautiful when they're giant or just overly thick even, but they do worry the crap out of you when stuff goes wrong even if it is a tiny thing it gets amplified.
And Henny...quit bugging that hen she needs her rest.;)
I think as my really big birds pass on I won't be getting more gigantic birds. They cause me more worry than my smaller breeds.

I keep running out there to check on Cinders....It is likely making her nervous.
