Good morning folks :frow

So far, Schools are closed, day cares and headstart close today. Lots of places are choosing to close. But nothing further on the radar.
Oh good. Out gov has shutdown a lot. I've heard a rumor that they're going to shut down absolutely everything but good grocery stores restaurants and gas stations this week. No idea if it's true or not. I hope you stay safe out there.

Good thing he is... If he wasn't a expensive Cornish he would be going to freezer camp for lack of mating interest... but I can wait.... He's just maturing later than my CX mutts... that are months younger are rarin to have a go with the hens.
He is friendly and follows me in the house when I am getting feed ready. Doesn't want me to pick him up though.
I had a rooster named Steven he was also a late bloomer. He was an orpington but he was like 19 weeks before I realized he was a boy. Maybe it's a Steve thing.

Here's some cuteness to brighten your day. I had one of my EE eggs hatch and another one is pipped, we'll have to wait on the other 3, the shells are too dark to candle.

I think it is a Dark Cornish/EE, although I thought this egg was from my mother's EE that was with a New Hampshire Roo. That wild type down and those thick legs make me think Fat Daddy is the daddy.

@Molpet what do you think?

@Kiki
Aww!

They have cancelled all the TSC swaps until further notice.
Very smart.

Adorable, hatched or shipped?

It is very quiet on here today.
I am really hoping everyone is safe.

I noticed my lemon scent pine sol does not say anything about killing germs.......I am using it anyway because it is what I have. I just am not trusting it to kill germs. 😒

Stay safe my friends.
It's so hard knowing what cleaning stuff is strong enough.

DW just found a funny on FB... I'm gonna quote it.

"Saw people posting that they were going to leave the city to steal from rural areas; You know we have space to bury y'all in and livestock to feed you to, right?"
:lau

We have two groups of folks where I live and in the "city." The locals, who've been here all their lives and the miners who come from all walks of life. Before the miners came in, people left their keys in their car, doors unlocked, you get the picture... Well the miners refer to us as the "crazy's" We have guns in our truck, we wear guns, we have them on our ATV. What they don't get is they are just a tool. And out on property, we look like prey to many things.
Even w/o other "predators" the bears and coyotes are enough reason to carry.

They don't make drugs strong enough to explain this away as a simple "chicken trip'.
Keep in mind iv'e had tons of people call telling me my rooster was on the loose...🐓.
Did I keep one from myself?
Ya'll would tell me, right?

That just means that you are absolutely the chicken lady in your area. Somebody probably dump the poor little boy. He is very pretty.
Good morning!
Looks like the guest boy is back for another day.
He didn't coop up with these last night but his narrow butt popped up out of nowhere when the food went out.
Im still pretty floored they're fine with him.
:)
me too. Usually your birds are Very flighty when it comes to anything new or different. What are your boys think about him?

Keep in mind , when you go out in public...frequently touched items like gas pumps can have virus on them. Wear gloves when pumping gas , or even cover the handle with a grocery bag.
good idea about the bag. I got gas the other day and immediately sanitized my hands after touching the pump. Unfortunately sanitizer is becoming harder to come by. I haven't even seen it in a single store since this all started.

The kids and I and the birds and the ham ham are all doing well. My county is that empty little blip up in Northeast Ohio that has no cases so far. One of the firefighters in a town about 45 minutes away from here tested positive but he lives in a different County so they aren't counting it as us. Not that nobody's sick here. They just don't have bus testing going on like they do up in Cleveland. They're supposed to be working on getting a drive-thru testing site setup in Ravenna. my dad called the woman he normally has do notarization and she said she woke up this morning with 104 degree fever. This is probably the first time in forever that anybody has woken up feeling like crap with a fever hoping that they have the flu. of course it being the weekend she's trying to get ahold of somebody so she can get checked out. needless to say he did not go to her for his notary needs. People are still going crazy and buying anything and everything they can get a hold of. Daycares are still open and businesses all over the place are still running as usual. A lot of people are working from home. My younger brother was just laid off from his job because of everything. I talked to a guy yesterday who said the GM Factory was switching from making cars to making ventilators which I thought was pretty cool that they have that capability. now we could get just get people to understand they need to stay home we might get through this.

It was pretty easy to make.

@apryl29 The entire dramatic range has happened but they did it super fast.
There was maybe one solid day they just knew he was absolute doom, then a few days of rooster comedy.
The boys seem fine?
Kind of weird, they just put him in line lol!
Negan chases Prince and he chases the surprise boy.
Still might get ugly, surprise boy has some nice wattles biiiig floppers!
The girls have never seen floppers. :D

Sooooooo apparently that is not the WHO approved recipe for sanitizer.

I was corrected in another thread that the starting alcohol needs to be 91% or higher.

Found this....it matches up with the PDF from the WHO.

I bought my derps at TSC.
If you can't find sanitizer, you can make it. Or use straight booze!
