Official Squatch Watchers

I'm still having to fiddle with my franken-bators (modified chinabators) more than I would like. I really need to find a way to keep the temperature probe at the proper level. It keeps dipping below the eggs and heating up the incubator too much.
It's always something. My broodies had 2 chicks last night and I took them, but I guess I will let them try to raise some.

Good morning! Lulu has decided to be broody in the coop floor, dead center
She will need a bath very soon
:frow Good morning Chicky, have a great day
Crazy hatch is finished! 32 eggs went into lockdown, I had 22 hatch, 21 still alive. Late late last night the last 2 hatched. I stayed on the couch with them in a heating pad till I couldn’t keep my eyes open. They were dry but still tired from their ordeal. I lost one of those in the night. Eggtopsies showed late quitters and reeeaaallly late quitters. So now I’m considering a large purchase, a Brinsea. 😬
:frow Good morning Nunny, have a great day
Spend the extra $100 to get the 56 egg Brinsea rather than the 28. I'm still kicking myself over that decision. Other than being too small I LOVE my Brinsea. It's rock solid an needs little tending. I got the Ovation 28 EX. It controls the humidity automatically.
I love my Brinsea, with the humidity pump
They are great incubators. Wish I bought another one instead of this Chinabator.
:frow Good morning Cappy, have a great day

:pop We have not heard if you are hatching @rjohns39 ....... :pop

I have been out planting the garden.
I think to save space I will put squash and zucchini in big pots this round. I still have 14 tomato plants.....not in the ground yet. I am running out of room fast!

I will be as soon as I get fertile eggs. I need to move two boys out of the BH pen into a bachelor pad and replace them with two young girls. I've only gotten a half dozen eggs so far from them and all were infertile. Turkey eggs are too. I'm hoping to get some RIW eggs from a BYCer and hoping for at least two good strong cockerels.
