Official Squatch Watchers

Who knows. The battery was dead. Got that charged and it won’t turn over. It tries but no go. I added gas and left it on the battery charger. Trying to start it so many times was draining it.

Other then adding gas and checking the oil I’ve got no motor experience. I may try it again later but it’s raining so no mowing anyway.

(should have offered the neighbor eggs to do my front lawn when he was mowing yesterday)
Could it be the spqlark plug? I had one that I had to scrape w sandpaper to get it to start.

I have theives around here, people across the road have had stuff stolen a dozen times at least.
Next door too, down the road in front of my cousin's house had his door kicked in and im in the sticks, boonies, middle of nothing.
Iv'e had mail and packages stolen, im not counting my burglary since that was my sister's doing.
I needed to get them sooner probably, but this whole food shortage/price inflation and general craziness sealed it.
That poor soul that had ducks stolen put it on rush.
My locks are keyed alike too, hubs said the hardware store had six locks left normally they have a whole isle.
I put a lock as soon as they closed schools. I don't care about eggs. I'm worried someone will take my birds.

The duck house is moving along........except my circular saw needs to be recycled.
Failure to start and one random kickback to many today.......

So I have a lovely arched cut below a window....(plunge cut kickback)
It is the window that is in the pool area. Maybe a sign that says "no lifeguard on duty", "nude beach", mimosa bar" or something clever.....

Ideas?
You're probably done w it by now, but wide trim?

Good morning!
:frow Good morning Parront, have a great day

Hi everyone! Sorry for losses. Yay for babies and new coops.

Been busy w work stuff. Got the big office cleaned, but have more to deal w still. My office is still full of carp, but it's better than it was. The things I found will shock you. Like papers from a workshop I went to in 2007. With my hand writing on it. Wither it was taken from my desk, or I threw it away & it was recovered from the trash. Books for stuff we don't have. A hidden laser printer I removed from a branch in 2014. A book about the internet from 1992. Staff rosters from the early 90s. Time cards. Computer magazines from the early 2000s. An entire box with multiple copies of the manual for the cataloguing system we left 3 years ago and were explicitly told to destroy. Enough paper clips to start give one time every person in the state. Hoarding is a real issue.
Prom was cancelled. Still waiting to hear about National Honor society & academic awards. We're doing virtual dance awards in a few weeks. They wanted to do a virtual dance recital but I don't know if they can. We're in a couple virtual dance recitals using last year's routines. Last week we got 1st & 3rd and the first place gets to compete in the virtual grand Championship on tuesday. Not the same, but better than nothing. Online schooling is going ok. There's 2 more weeks of that.
Birds are good. William had a weird cockadoodle Thursday night , but it seems to be getting better. I got a fart egg a week or so ago. Never had one before. Pretty sure it was from Clover based on color. They finally started laying in the nest box again too. Toothless had several problems laying. She's not getting a solid egg to pass. She's still molting. Seems fine otherwise. I'm hoping she'll straighten out soon.
That's about it. Nothing too exciting which is nice for a change.

So you guys have all seen Pinky...

I love this little bird! She is so laid back and sweet. Her colors are stunning and she has the coolest legs and feet. I had asked about her when she was a chick because her legs were REALLY feathered. Silkie groups had a fit about breeding her because she has vulture hocks. I think they are super cool! Her feet are so feathered I can't find her toes. Even her little extra toe has feathers on.
Have I mentioned I love this bird! 🥰

Sweet bird! I had one of my cochin chicks step up on my hand today, just as calm as could be!

Good afternoon, everyone!

The great chicken harvest is over. It went a LOT more smoothly this time. We have 10 birds chilling before we bag 'em. We kill 11, but the runt was so tiny (2-3lbs before evisceration) that I just decided to turn him into pig food. Next time we have a runt that is 1/4th the size of it's mates, we'll just turn it into pig food earlier.

I really need another eviscerator. I had my mom going back and forth between slicing throats, scalding, and helping me out by cutting off feet, heads and necks. We will be doing our next batch in October. Between now and then, I'm going to order a drum plucker, meat bird cones, and a few more knives. Things will go faster if we get a plucker.

On a brighter note, I've had no chick deaths this week! I only hatched 4 of the 12 eggs I took to incubation, but I attribute that to the power outages we've had, one DURING hatch. I was also wrong about having only eggs incubated in the brinsea. Half the eggs that didn't hatch this time spent time in the Franken bator before lockdown.

I ended up caulking it and with paint applied you cannot even see it.

I am moving forward.....maybe at a SLOW pace but still forward.
