How much food do your chicks eat? I've going through two quarts a day and I think they could eat more.
20 total if I remember correctly.
It’s my understanding that chickens self-regulate, unlike dogs who eat until they puke and then eat that. If you think they could use more, give it to them.

Mr. No Butt was going to be the death of me lol! 😄

I trimmed my flock down to just 11 chickens.....It has still been work as the big coop is not NEEDED by them 100% and I had to split the big run so chickens using the big coop still had run space. Today I built the divider wall, cut down the nest boxes so there are just 4 nests and discovered nothing on this planet draws flies faster than a cecal poop.

Here’s an odd question, maybe. My chickens aren’t due to start laying until sometime around Labor Day and I have people asking me for eggs already. Yay! But, I’ve been reading about all the things that can go wrong with an egg that you may not know until you open it. I don’t want to lose customers, and worse, have them tell people my eggs are no good. How often, and how likely are these issues? Is there something I can do to help prevent issues?

I always educated anyone getting eggs from me on egg oddities. I also always crack eggs in a small bowl before adding to whatever I am making....just in case.
If people know what they may find then there are no shockers.

So it is 20 chicks and 2 quarts then you are refilling 2 feeders after work?

How old are they now?
Yes. They still have food when I fill them before work so I'm guessing around two quarts. I have two of those long tray feeders from tractor supply. The are going though both full and probably half again before topped off the next day.
Edit. Around 3 weeks now I think. 20 or so days.
