This morning I gathered eggs #4 and 5 from the duck house!
They are right on schedule for starting up the factory.

I need a new cat I think. I had some tomatoes on the counter. The side of one has been chewed. Microwave is in the way for the cat to chew. Rotten mice are everywhere, except caught in the traps. I think they have learned to avoid the bucket and snap traps. I put the tomato in the bucket.

We are over run with them too. They eat the bait in the traps but won't eat the poison. Maybe I should bait the traps with poison.....

I am picking up some superglue today so I can glue a piece of dog food to the the traps. It has worked in the past.

Wild hen visit. She tried to get my toms attention earlier in the year. But neither flew over the fence. She roosts in trees just inside the fence sometimes, but doesn't come down inside. My hens aren't happy with her LOL

For rats, I like these. Use a good bait station, OR use a hole saw on the side, at the bottom of a 5 gallon bucket, like for making a home made feeder. Put some bait in, and put the lid on. It depends on your situation, and set up as which bait station to use. Make sure your chickens, and pets can't get to the bait. I think it is the steady diet of the pellets that gets the mice. One meal of it is not enough.
