Good morning! It is chilly out there or im just soft...maybe both lol!
Got everybody fed, bigs are out and littles are safely in the run pecking around and wanting out.
They are spoiled, they stop mid ramp every morning wanting a bite of something special except Jerry he wants candy.
I don't give him candy, i'd have a 50lb diabetic rooster in no time.



Thanks guys, I feel better about babying her now.
Id feel horrible if something happened to her especially with me knowing she isn't right in the noggin.

I have a chicken in the house to keep her safe and fatten her up. There are plans for permanent in home living....
pretty sure a pen for growing up safely is completely normal.

If hubs has an issue, he can talk to me about it. Not only do we have 3 house chickens, half of them are roosters.

Oh lord, it would be one of those horror stories like when that one lady's monkey ate her buddy's face and fingers...just more fragrant.

I lol'd about them stopping for noms partway down the ramp.
Homer....well she certainly seems to need a bit of extra protection.
Rudy is my main beggar.

I remember that story....absolutely horrific.

Mostly my dogs freak out at the masks (in their eyes, muzzles for humans). They don't THINK we did anything like in Silence Of The Lambs.

Good morning everyone.

Yesterday was a miserable day for me. Not only did my cold hit full force, I didn't sleep well the night before because I couldn't breathe and Thing 2 was fussy again. He wasn't happy just sleeping in bed with us, he wanted to be held while he slept. Usually, that bugs me enough that I can't really sleep soundly while holding him, but I managed it. Yesterday was also hard because DH went to Charleston to pick up our feed from a shipping depot. We elected to pick it up there because it takes it less than a day to get to the depot but the local shipper sometimes takes more than a week to get around to delivering the order because they don't make many runs out this way. He and FIL went and took Thing 1 with them, so that helped, but they didn't get back until 1 hour before DH was supposed to leave for work. Fortunately, my MIL was able to take Thing 2 two different times for a total of about 3 hours, which helped. I probably should have taken the day off but it was a busy day work wise. AND to top it all off, my internet was crap yesterday.

I slept much better last night and the boys both obliged by sleeping in late this morning. I actually got up before they did. I'm feeling better, but still kinda ick (recovering from a cold ick). I'm in a much better mental state today.
