So true.
When they bought the house the coop and "run" was already there. They just went with it.

I guess to some.....it is about keeping them in X space. For me it is about keeping other things out of X space.

Knock on wood I have never lost a chicken to a predator.

Well that's not true, back as a kid lost a lot to coons and possums, but didn't have a secure coop, the old hen house was from the turn of the century.

My ex husband didn't believe in adequate fencing. I lost a lot of ducks back then. It sucked the joy out of having them replacing it with constant worry.

One thing I constantly have to remind the guys is that we, the keepers, are their whole world. The animals cant go to the store and get food, etc. If we dont give it to them, they dont have it. Period. Animal husbandry. Yes, I had to explain to hubs what that meant. You dint want to know what he thought.:lau

I didn't do anything abnormal yesterday except vote. I didn't even check on the results until Thing 2 woke up at 3:30am. Nothing's changed since then really. I'm not stressing about it.
