They're cute for a reason Rae.... 😂
That they are, little stinkers....

Oh I found out something nice earlier this week, since I had Thing 2, my company instituted 4 weeks of paid parental leave that can be taken any time in the first year of life. So, because I pay for it, I get 6-8 weeks of short-term disability leave (depending on method of delivery because recovery time is longer for c-section). Previously, I covered the remaining 4-6 weeks of unpaid FMLA leave with vacation. Now I only need to use 0-2 weeks of vacation. That's a nice perk!

Good morning everybody :frow

Good morning Fishy 😊 have a great day !
Good morning,

Didn't sleep well last night but better I think than if I was trying to put Thing 2 into a crib. I really didn't get to sleep until around midnight because of work. Thing 2 woke at 2:30, I got him back to sleep, but within 5 min of getting back in my bed, he started fussing again. I had to go back and settle him about 3 more times in total and that took almost 1.5 hours. At 4, not long after I got Thing 2 settled, Thing 1 woke up and wanted to get up. Uhhh Heck NO! I got him back in bed, only to be awakened again at 4:30 because he needed to go to the potty. I then was able to get back to sleep until 7 when Thing 1 woke up. I'm really going to need a nap today.

Good morning Rae 😊 have a great day and hopefully your able to grab a nap or two 🤗🤗

Good morning all:frow
Feed run today, possible 1 to 8 inches of snow Sunday Monday. How's that for an accurate forecast :gig

Good morning Mo 😊 have a great day !

Hi Everyone,
Hope you're all well. Things are pretty crazy here. My youngest kid is in the home stretch of her 1st semester online classes & b/c she didn't work on them like she was supposed to she's failing Algebra II horribly. The school sucked at offering help... you know, b/c when your straight A students start failing, who cares, right? She's going to pass 4/5 of her classes, so that's better than nothing. I'm really hoping she manages a D in the Algebra class, but at this point, I don't see it happening. She's 68% behind and has about 24 hours to do it that + her final test in the other classes. It's just not going to happen.
The older one saw the geneticists last week. As expected she has hypermobile Elhers Danlos syndrome. She gets a heart echo on Monday. We sent out the DNA test on Tuesday. @Anansi I'm going to be messaging you at some point when I can handle things a bit more b/c even though we expected alllll of this, it hit her hard & while I was optimistic, I joined a few support pages thinking it'd help reassure me that everything will be ok, it's kinda making me freak out more. Then there's the fact that sister has some similar stuff going on and I'm starting to wonder if she has it too. We see the geneticist (remotely) after all the tests come back. Trying to get her in to talk to a counselor, but they haven't called me back.
On the plus side we're working hard to get the older one her license and plan to have all her hours and stuff done by mid March. She's gotten a lot better at driving recently and I don't feel like I"m going to die every time she takes the wheel. Up next is sister.
Chickens are good. Something was trying to dig into their run so I tossed some wide boards on the ground. That section is blocked off w/ the door closed, but then they can dig under the center board if they are so motivated.
Been house hunting... nothing in my price range that looks good for the chickens... I'd love something in town, but I know my neighbors would murder me if I brought 9 chickens into a small lot (oh, and william too).
Blue skies and sunny, but freezing! I miss those 40 degree days of December!
I'm sure I'm forgetting something significant.. but I can't remember.

Apryl! You're laying eggs!
You just started today!:ya

Wow! That is a lot to take in.
I am sure her diagnosis is really troubling her. I do not know enough about the condition to even begin to wrap my head around what it means for her long term. :hugs
