Well I found a pack of that chicken candy in the pantry and got the idea of just tossing it up in the air and having a free for all instead of sacrificing my fingers handing them out one by one.
Ladies and gentlemen that was an incredibly dumb idea.
I had fights, tackling, tug of wars just immense amounts of hen on hen violence.
Roosters didn't participate just hung back and watched.
The boys got a piece from me, it was the only way that they stood a chance of getting anything.
People who bad mouth roosters and how "aggressive" they are versus sweet, sweet little hens need to do a candy scramble.
Oh and the candy love is universal, I've tainted a neighboring flock.
I had to, I was being doubted... not anymore. :caf
 
Hubs about ran himself over with the killer lawnmower.
He was trying to stop it going over a high embankment.
Skinned him up decently but at least he cut the dang deck off.
I've told him a billion times don't risk yourself to save stuff it isn't worth getting hurt over.
He might listen one day, big dork.:barnie

He's got to learn he's getting too old to get hurt.

Good luck with the fly removal Chicky.

Congrats on good weather Mo.

We are HOT until Thursday. I am glad the weather will cool down here starting Thursday. That is the big driveway tear out day. It's a hard enough job in good weather. Adding heat is miserable. I am hoping the crew is not distracted by my nutty dogs freaking out at the window. Part if that removal is my broken porch that is 6x19.5 feet....right under the big window.
 
Smart fly, took the door out.
I kicked my coop mopers out this morning the forecast calls for heavy rain and temperatures in the70's though Wednesday.
It hasn't started yet so I'm trying to let them get as much non soggy chicken time as possible.
They weren't happy but they'll thank me later.:)
