Official Squatch Watchers

Good morning everyone 😊 enjoy your day

Good morning everyone. I'm not sure why I woke up so early.
Good morning Clue 😊

Morning everyone.

If all goes according to plan today is concrete tear out day. Gonna be nutty with all 5 dogs and a bunch of noisy strangers in the yard and garage.

At least it's cooler with a lovely breeze this morning.

I hope everyone gets to have a good day.
Good morning Henny 😊

Good morning!
I've been awake since 5 but I've been watching hoarders and drinking coffee.
That show makes me want to clean pretty much instantly which is funny considering I've got no problem letting a chicken stroll through the house.
Chicken dirt can't compare to diapers stacked up to the ceiling, not in a million years.
I could let the entire double digit herd stroll around and not touch diaper mountain.
Bad thing is lady wants to keep her mountain 🏔️

That show certainly sends home the "clean it. CLEAN IT ALL" message. It's astounding the literal crap people live in. 🤮

Good morning Chicky 😊

That show will definitely give you second thoughts about keeping tons of stuff 😲. I used to watch it occasionally and the things they found 🤮 .

I get that some people have issues my paternal grandmother was quite a packrat but that stemmed from growing up during the depression.
The only picture I have of her and the great grands not a soul even have shoes on their feet.
That woman saved everything down to bread bags and butter bowls.
She however kept her mess clean no poop or bugs just stuff.
She'd have beat anyone senseless that had a diaper mountain.

I have been wanting at least 1 IBC Tote. We went to look at a place nearby, and bought 2. Dh took the trailer to go get them, and just got back. Happy early birthday to me. Yay!
I love IBC totes. They are so versatile.

I've been wanting at least one out by the chicken coop. I go through aprox. 5 gallons, in 5 coops every other day. That's not a problem under normal conditions, but we get various tropical storms, and a hurricane season.

After Irma, most of our neighbors were without power, for almost 2 weeks. We lucked out, since our power lines are underground. Yes, out here we all have some type of generator, so the situation isn't dire, but I got to thinking about if the (submersible) pump went down (age, lightening strike, power surge, etc.). Again, under normal circumstances, we'd call someone to come to take care of it, and they'd do it right away, but that option might not be as fast during unusual circumstances. Yes, I still have a source of water, BUT the coop is a good distance from the source of water. Dh, and I are not spring chickens anymore, so hauling water would get real old, real fast.

In my older age I try to plan things that simplify our lives, making things easier on us. That way, hopefully, we can enjoy our lifestyle longer.
