Good morning!
I actually got up at a reasonable time and have already tended the herd.
I got a good night's sleep after one of those salt soaks, used one of my favorites in the box.
I've got zero idea what the packet say on it but there is a bear on it, not bear scented though thankfully.
The roofers are still banging it out next door, I knew it would take them at least three days.
Makes me thankful I don't have to deal with anything like that.
Not a single shingle on this old trailer and the coop has a tin roof too.:)

Storms last night came in right before lockup. 5 turkey hens were on the coop roof when the sky went dark and 50 miles wind blew in. Managed to get 4 in and the other went in the trees with her sisters.
Got 4 tenths of an inch. Rain off and on all week.

I'm going wild this morning, I'm actually having an energy drink.
I'm like one of the teenagers lol!
It is one of the coffee monsters the "mean bean" flavor.
It isn't bad but I don't get why they make them so flipping big feels like im holding a barrel.
How are you supposed to be energetic when you're sloshing?🤔
 
Ok search to replace my nude lipstick is officially cancelled.
I've been put off and I don't forsee the urge returning. :caf

I will keep that in mind and put the giant stones where doors would generally line up.

I said I like the idea of the path…never said I had the energy to do it. LOL

You can always change your mind and put stones in later. Rest up. It’s too hot to do much of anything here.
 
Good afternoon everyone. It's already too hot outside to do anything but go swimming, or play in the sprinkler. We're gearing up here to go into our hottest month.

Some of the projects being mentioned, are NOT good summer projects. They're better left for fall weather, when it's cooler.

Found 2 chicken hens dead in the same coop. One had been looking poorly since the heat started. Not tame enough to bring in without stressing them.
They were closely related and part CX, which don't live too long. They were from 2018 I think.
They were good broodies if given chicks, but broke most eggs due to their weight.
At least they were in a full coop and not in the coop that only has 8 hens. ... And it's the day before garbage day.
Glad they aren't pets so it's just an aww. Sad but not heart wrenching.
