Official Squatch Watchers

You did WHAT?!

No appraisal? No red tape? No extreme stress?

THEY called YOU??

I am concerned.......
Our old company sold it to a new one. We have a VA loan, so theres some protections that regular loans don’t have. Wed been discussing it anyway for a little bit since the rates are fairly low right now.
But, yeah, it is a bit odd. Although im pretty sure they're getting kick backs somehow.

Good morning Mo. :frow

One of my goals in going back to work is to pay off the mortgage early. Doing the math this morning (which may or may not be a good idea cause math is best done fully awake) it looks like 6 years is a workable payoff number. There are currently 19 years remaining so 6 sounds much better.
I would be basically doubling the monthly payments starting in January.

Of course I am calculating while remaining well within the monthly income for the household. I still want to have a cushion.

I paid off my mortgage early last year ...
Credit score dropped over 100 points

I know the credit will dive. That part is stupid. I want to go into hubs retirement without a mortgage though. Hubs turns 63 this month.

I think the stress reduction will be worth the credit drop.

Good morning folks :frow

Good morning all

Good morning everyone. We got off to a very slow start this morning. Dh, and the grands are headed to Dunkin Donuts now, to get our breakfast.

It used to be that paying off the mortgage was cause for celebration. Now, it tanks your credit score, and drops the home value some too. It's upside down, and backwards. They get you coming AND going.
