Sorry I’ve been gone so much. I’ve had a nasty couple of months. It seems like everyone in the house was sick with this, that, and the other thing (not covid thankfully) for a month or more.

Now I have shingles on my face. Its involving my eye too. It sucks.

The kids are doing well. DH is teaching Thing 1 to read. Thing 2 is his sassy opinionated normal self. The Milk Drinker is cruising on everything and looks like he’ll be walking soon. He’s 9 months and still doesn’t have any teeth. I’m betting he starts walking before he gets any teeth. He also has started trying to talk. His first word other than Mama/Dada was book. When we ask him questions, sometimes he’ll try to answer yes or no.

I hope you all are well. Have I missed anything big?

Good morning Rae 😊 it's so good to hear from you, kids seem to grow up way too fast. Hope you are feeling better, shingles is nasty, I'm so sorry you have it on your face :hugs . I've had poison ivy on my face and it's horrible.

I hope you are better for Christmas and that you're family has a great holiday.

Oh shingles isn't fun and on the face/eye sounds awful

I had poison ivy on my face several times as a kid. It was both worse and better than this. At least twice, my face got so swollen with poison ivy (from burning logs in a bonfire with the ivy oil on it) that both my eyes swelled shut. Thank goodness for audio books.

This time my effected eye isn’t swelling shut but the nerve pain is horrendous and I have a massive headache that pain killers barely touch.

Sorry about your shingles, Rae. Try to reduce your stress level. That seems to help some with recovery. I'm not even insinuating that with 3 youngsters you can eliminate your stress. That's impossible. But keep an eye out for a little thing here, and there that might help ease your stress.
