Hi Folks!

Things are looking up. Thing 1 doesn't hasn't had any new pox in almost 2 days, Thing 2 and the Milk Drinker still have no spots, and my shingles related nerve pain is almost gone.

We have to keep the two younger boys house bound until the 28th so we wait out the 21 day incubation period incase they didn't get exposed through me but through Thing 1. Since chicken pox is transmissible before kids come down with the spots, it is best to not go out in public if they've been exposed. I'm really hoping the younger boys don't break out because they are nursing. The doctor agreed that we can test their immunity later if they don't break out to see if they had a mild case that didn't cause blisters but was enough to give them immunity.
Glad pain and spots are better. My mom had shingles, no fun at all.
Are vaccinations required for schools there? I know when I took some university classes I had to have proof of vaccination or having. Parents didn't take me in when I had them so I had to get vaccinated.

They do require certain ones for school here but we are homeschooling so it isn't an issue. I want it on my kids' records that they had the pox or have immunity so that wouldn't be an issue if we did have to send them to school.

Good evening everyone. Dd #1 tested positive for Covid. That may, or may not mean anything, BUT she gets paid leave, so she's not upset one bit. For the first time in a long time, she got to help with the schooling. It was a wake up call for both her, and the kids. It was a huge break for me.

I hope she recovers quickly and no one else gets it.

Good morning all 40f before noon, hopefully some of the icy beaten paths will soften up.
Went on a feed run yesterday. I have been getting an all flock country companion from R&P, used to be Big R store. I have enough of for 20 days, but I thought with the nice weather I would get more... They said they had it but when I went to get loaded, they had all stock. Had to get layer crumbles instead. I didn't look at the tag until I unloaded this morning. Made Nov 1st. I was going to mix it with the all flock I had, made Dec 21st, but now I think I'll feed it first.

Well that is a disappointment. I hope they have what you need next time.

Been a long day. There is a part shortage making us wait up to 8 weeks for parts. It's going to be rough keeping peeps busy that long since we cannot make full units.

Hi everybody :frow

Clue, sorry about dd1 :hugs I really hope she doesnt get too bad and is able to continue helping you out with the grands. You need a break.

Mo, thanks for the reminder about making a feed run. Do you have any other stores around that you can get your feed from?

Henny, I hope your parts arent too delayed. Parts for my machine just came in this week where they were expected to be in mid-December. Now they need another part to finish fixing it. I hope it comes in much sooner than the last one did.

Yes but it costs more for 10lbs less. I'm hoping the farmer that bought the mill I used to get feed from, starts to sell feed before spring.

Somebody did buy the mill? Cool! I wondered about that as I was typing.
Thats ridiculous. I hate it when stores do that.
Last load I got from him they were waiting on paperwork, so hopefully everything works out. He said he was giving contact info to the new guy.....new guy runs a csa so I'm hopeful it will work out.
